  1. QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) Well dislikes (alot it seems) chandler and i am starting to just as much... I did that as a tribute because he is going to the army. He is actually starting training the 17th... Is either a genius or a moron. After all this time I still havn't figured out which.
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) It'd be pretty worthless if it was just a font. Very true.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) Guarantee it's just all photoshop. Manipulated the S off the Sox logo, and probably made the T. You're so wise. That's all photoshop right there. My laptop finally started working again yesterday so I had to make sure photoshop was still operational.
  4. After researching this game and viewing numerous videos I see it as being just a very "fresh" game. It's something that you've never seen before, it just strikes me as different and maybe a welcomed change to the usual mulit-million dollar ballplayers we'd control in any MLB game. It's a breath of fresh air that could turn out to be a great game.
  5. I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I thought up this name when I was drunk and now I use it for everything.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 02:44 PM) Once again, Soxtalk needs a slogan and a logo. This is yet another occurance that proves this.
  7. I like for my avatar to get a point across and inform the people that view it.

  9. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Better than any Bears QB And how far did that gitcha?
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) Vernon Davis please. Vernon Davis has shot up most everyone's draft board, as of right now he'd go before Lewis.
  11. Go away Brett, I'm sick of the Bears having so many close games with your POS team just because you feel like throwing for 300 yards. With Aaron Rodger at the helm atleast we'll have a few easy wins each year.

    Weather WTF

    Um . . . it's January.
  13. QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) I do. Or is there some reason to rush Anderson? Let Taveras start for a year and then think about Anderson as your long-term plan. Anderson is not being rushed, he got his full year in at Charlotte and performed beautifully, it's his time now.
  14. QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) I agree, but it wouldn't hurt to have a good backup plan in case Anderson doesn't pan out this year. As long as the Sox don't overpay, of course. Contreras is overpaying. You don't give up a #1 pitcher for a contingency plan and a few other pieces.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) After that he didn't play in the majors until 2002 when he had 2 hits in 20 at bats, and that was all for him. And then he went on to play for the Long Island Ducks where he failed to reignite his career. He's only 28, he'll be back.
  16. QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) He's already been booted out of the rotation in favor of proven talent (Vasquez). Thanks for proving my point! Yet you're advocating a trade of Contreras for Tavarez + something. This would put McCarthy back into the rotation and hence we'd have unproven talent at a very important position. Wouldn't you rather keep Contrera (proven talent) in the rotation and McCarthy in the pen? We did win the WS last year afterall.
  17. Why does Caruso's name keep comming up? I still don't understand why this guy is the ultimate example of a bust.
  18. QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) I disagree. Pierre's base-stealing prowess and higher OBP win more games. How exactly does a 65% SB% help you win more games? When you're getting thrown out 35% of the times you steal a base, you're hurting your team more than you're helping it.
  19. QUOTE(Adam G @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) They definitely put up numbers and they're great players, but I guess I dont think of them as the super elite type players. I'd put Jeter, Ichiro, Clemens, Oswalt, Mariano Rivera and Derrick Lee ahead of those guys. Just my two cents though. Derek Jeter over Miguel Cabrera? You're high. Miguel Cabrera will be 23 years old next year, he already has two 33 HR seasons along with two seasons with 112RBI+ and a .300 career batting average. He put up a .947 OPS last season at the age of 22, if you consider Pujols to be elite then you have to put Cabrera in there.
