  1. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) The point is: Timo at 1B > Willie Harris AB's tonight. I was not responding to you.
  2. The point is he should've never been playing first. Ozzie had three choices and obviously picked the worst one.
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) I was watching the hot dog eating contest on ESPN. They said the average American eats 70 hot dogs a year. 70???!!! That's more than 1 per week. How many do you guys think you have per year? I have maybe 5, all at the Cell. I have like 6 per week now because there is this authentic Chicago style hot dog cart in the industrial park I work in.
  4. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) now i would do her Because before that you wouldn't? Please.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:07 AM) Love Timo. Maybe my reward were his three hits.
  6. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Then would you mind explaining why Bayh routinely crushes anyone who challenges him for the Senate? He'd carry Indiana quite easily. Using Game Theory you can prove he succeeds because the ideological direction of his political campaign is not in the same spectrum of the typical democrat. I too think he would take Indiana.
  7. Oh and the guy sitting next to me was wearing a full Shoeless Joe Jackson uniform down to the weird bowling-type shoes and he sucked. What did I do to deserve this?
  8. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) With crowd tonight lineup was horses*** Imagine my excitement when I heard the lineups on my car radio while stuck in bumper to bumper traffic with >$100 worth of tickets in my hand.
  9. Don't look now, but Timo - .231/.286/.606 Willie - .216/.301/.517 jk, you guys know I love to rile you up. Neither is really adequate for even a bench player. But I'd still like them both to stay with the team because there are different late-game situations where I'd use them and they could be effective. Let Walker make room for Gload.
  10. Phillip Seymour Hoffman for underrated. I think he does well in almost every role.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) Exactamundo...why would I park at a mall far far away from the cell, take a SUPEEEEEEEEEERRR long bus ride there and back, just to save a couple of bucks. When I can park at the game whenever I please??? It shall never occur I just hate paying $17. Save $11? That's two beers!
  12. Getting back to the topic, I think it would be great if the Sox had something similar. Brooks may be working on it.
  13. Now that's what I call clubhouse chemistry.
  14. Facing Dontrelle tonight? Ouch. Could be number nine.
  15. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) http://www.athleticsnation.com/story/2004/12/27/201439/06 Thanks aj. After we made the playoffs in 2000, our 2001 payroll increased by 76%. If we had a 76% increase from 2005 to 2006, our payroll would be around 130 million dollars. That large an increase is not feasable because in 2000 we actually had the seventh lowest payroll in all of MLB, whereas this year we are much higher up in the pack. But I think it does show that a postseason birth, which is looking more realistic everyday, will grant us more flexibilty in the offseason. This could give us an idea of contracts that may be worked out after any midseason acquisitions. I don't expect anywhere near the 76% increase we saw from '00-'01, but 20% shouldn't be out of the question. That would put us just over 90 million for 2006.
  16. Stepping up to the plate I would play 'Godsend Conspirator' by Coheed, started as he sings "when eye meets eye, be calm".
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) He's an average at best defensive OFer. Not sure how the stat is calculated but Podsednik leads all AL left fielders and is second to only Brady Clark in defensive win shares for left fielders. But I've seen him take bad routes so maybe it can't account for balls you don't get to.
  18. You're comparing Schmidt to the revolving door of last year and saying he's already washed up? I'm not that into him but I still don't think that's a fair argument.
  19. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) He was being sarcastic... but thats beside the point... he's a late starter/second half performer anyway... He may have been half sarcastic because I think he actually leads the team in BA w/ RISP.
  20. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) I know, i know... he is clutch. Kind of. His batting average with the bags loaded is no good. And 9 out of 18 scoring a man on 3rd with
  21. Can someone get me payroll from 2000 and 2001?
