  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 11:31 AM) I was at the practice field one morning last week and AJP could not have been more cool, signing autographs and joking with fans. He's on the worst list? Hardly. Yep. A couple of years ago at ST, he was pulled from a game because he hurt his leg. As he was wobbling out to his car, still in his uni, he signed every autograph and tried to smile even though he was in obvious pain.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) So this dude was on your property? I'd be pissed off. We don't have sidewalks here. Our garages are in the front of the house, so we pull into our garages from the street. Unless you're walking in the street, you're kinda always on someone's property.
  3. The neighborhood where I live is extremely dark at night, you could run over a pedestrian and never even see them. The other night about 11:30pm as I was about to pull into the garage, out of nowhere, I see a flashlight quickly coming toward me. As it gets within about 5 feet of my car, I finally am able to see the guy who is holding it. He's dressed in camouflage pants, combat boots, a "Sheriff' T shirt, a cap and a belt with a bunch of stuff hanging off of it, maybe a gun, didn't look closely enough. As I open the car door, he shoves a piece of paper with a guy's mug shot on it in my face and asks: "have you seen this guy". Stunned and kind of scared honeslty, I jump back and reply "No". He flips the page to a full page picture of the guy and asks me again "Are you sure? Take a good look?" I look closely this time, "No, what's this all about?" "How long have you lived here?" "Over two years", I reply. "Thank you" he says, darts off and dissapears into the darkness. NO VEHICLE. The entire situation was over in like 30 seconds, dude was in a hurry. Was this a bounty hunter, or WTF?
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) Given his size/weight and tendency to burn calories fast he needs to intake more than just lean protein, he needs to increase his fat intake, too, or he's never going to see much size increase. How does intaking more fat result in muscle gain? Does more fat along with more protein work better than less fat andw more protein? I thought fat was just bad.
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 01:17 PM) I just tossed a highlighter at a co-worker just joking around, it hit her so she bent over to pick it up and throw it back at me. I saw down her shirt. Totally sweet. Good work. Yesterday afternoon it suddenly got very windy for about an hour and a lot of women were wearing skirts. Must have seen at least 3 skirts blow WAY up.
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) And speaking of the Pumpkins, the New Silversun Pickups leaked. Fixed.
  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 29, 2009 -> 08:05 AM) Billy and Trent Reznor are cut from the same cloth. Those guys both want to control every little aspect of their music, and inevitably drive away the original band and end up touring with paid stand-ins. The original other 3 Pumpkins were stand-ins too.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 01:08 AM) A s*** ton of lean protein and protein shakes. Min 3 a day. I would lean out if you can and lose most of your fat then pack on lean mass. A lot of shakes that claim to be 100% whey or soy actually contain a lot of sugar too. Can you recommend some lean protein shake brands? Another issue is cost. If you buy a bucket of protein and take the recommended amounts, you'll go through a $50.00 bucket in a week. Do that math over a month, 6months, etc.
  9. I went to summer camp in Wisco. and they had well water, it smlled and tasted like crap. The sinks and toilets were all yellow stained too.
  10. QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 04:03 AM) Jimmy Chamberlain sort of addresses his departure from Smashing Pumpkins: http://jimmychamberlincomplex.com/blog/ Trying to read between the lines, it seems to me he got tired of being a "second fiddle" and/or Billy won't give up the publishing monies. (Hence the "something I don't fully possess" line). ..........or that Billy is a control freak. Jimmy finally grew a pair and said enough is enough....or he finally made as much cash as he wanted to off of Billy.
  11. Most of you are trying to lose weight, but where do us skinny guys go for help? So here's my deal: I am the classic 'hard gainer', naturally skinny, it's very difficult for me to put on any weight or muscle. Whenever I have been successful at putting on muscle, I also put on some fat. As I get older, more and more of it accumulates around my belly and I put on less muscle mass. Getting rid of the belly is not the problem, the problem is that along with the belly, goes the muscle. Lately, more of the belly stays around and more of the muscle is going away. How do I put on muscle mass, or at least maintain it without getting fat around the belly at the same time?
  12. Minnie kinda looks like Tracey Morgan in that photo.
  13. I'd like to go to Africa, and not to some fancy resort in South Africa. I'm talking deep into the bush jungle, civil war, child soldiers, blood diamond, tusk poaching, AIDS epidemic, safari, hard core s***.
  14. It looks like one of those before and after Meth posters.
  15. QUOTE (G&T @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) Isn't that a pyramid scheme? Yep and in this economy, they're picking up steam. People are desperate.

    A Quiz

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 12:36 PM) I would guess #1 is gymnastics or figure skating Boxing.
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 04:31 PM) Jimmy Chamberlain leaves the Smashing Pumpkins......again. I wonder if he's started using again. It doesn't matter, the band is basically The Billy Corgan Experience anyway.
  18. Very nice facility, too bad the Sox bent over for the Cubs. It was my 1st time in Phoenix and I had a hard time getting a feel for the city. Although I did have Uno's Pizza which was long overdue.
  19. I've never thought of CQ as an emotional guy. In fact, I'd call him the ice machine.
  20. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 01:45 PM) I might have two or three actually. I hope I dont get up there and just freeze and vomit on myself like Charlie from sunny in philadelphia. I probably wont be on stage for a couple months though so I have time to prepare and get comfortable with the guys. Have you ever done Kareoke with a live band behind you? Might be a good place to break the nerves.
  21. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 10:35 AM) Ok,so I am going to be the lead singer in a band. Iam really intimidated because I am gonna be working with a few seasoned musicians from Chicago and this is my first time doing anything seriously in music. I have always had the ability to sing but just never had the desire to get up in front of people. My friend is a drummer from The Soul People(will also drum for this band) and has been telling me to do this for a long time. I dont know how its gonna workout, he said I have all the freedom to take the band in any direction that I want. Feels kinda crazy right now. Have a shot of tequila 20 mins before you go onstage, seriously.
  22. One more reason not to hire a personal trainer. Today, I notice one of these idiots 'training' someone using one of those big, rubber balls full of air that people use for everything now it seems, I forget what they're called. Anyway, this genius slowly climbs up onto this thing, so that he is wobbling and barely able to stand on it. At this point, he has 100% of my attention, because we all know where this is headed. As I walk over to get a closer look, he goes into a really slow golf swing. Now I don't golf, so I'm not sure exactly how standing on this ball is supposed to improve your swing, but I bet he's fed this poor bastard some line about balance and strict form and discipline through your swing. I have to admit, up to this point, even though he's extremely wobbly, I'm impressed that he's still standing on it. Then the f***head goes into a full swing, loses his balance, falls off and hits his head on a mirrror. Yes, he was dumb enough to do it near a wall.
  23. One more really long day of work and then I'm off to Phoenix. I'm geeeked!
  24. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 12:52 PM) Three piece punk rock band with great hooks and distinctive vocals. Now We Can See might be their most accessible album yet, but The Body, The Blood, The Machine is my favorite album of 2006. If you want anything I can PM it to you. NWCS is their latest??
  25. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 01:09 AM) I'm kinda with ya LMB, I dont know how the band will follow up Stay Positive. Great record, but IMO still a step down from their previous two. Tell me about The Thermals.
