I learned something today as I was watching part of the MJ updates on CNN: We know that MJ was being anesthesized nightly in order to put him to sleep since he suffered from insomnia. Being anesthesized and being asleep are not the same physical state. So, even though he was being put under, techinically MJ wasn't getting any real sleep at night. So, not only were they not helping the effects of insomnia, but they must have been giving him something to bring him back every morning and more stuff to keep him going throughout the day. This guy was the world heavyweight champion drug user.

Yep, you go for it.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) Anyone over the age of 12 riding their bicycle on the sidewalk should get an instant stick to the spokes. same for anyone over the age of 18 on a skateboard....anywhere.

I love the new record as well and yeah the video is funny. I guess 'Beyond' wasn't a fluke after all, like many people thought. Looking forward to seeing them in LA, SD and SF....earplugs firmly in place.

All I'm able to find is a lot of 'no longer available' and like 30 seconds of nothing.

I don't see how Doc is gonna walk away squeaky clean. They keep saying that Diprovan is not a controlled susbstance, but I would think administering it outside of a hospital setting is illegal. The statement from Doc is something along the lines of 'Jackson was not given anything that should have killed him.' Well, Doc had only been on the job since May. From what we're now hearing, MJ had been a long time drug user. Is one month enough time to evaluate what MJ could and could not tolerate?

'I'm pretty sure Dinosaur Jr. are more responsible for premature hearing loss than any other band save My Bloody Valentine. I saw them just a couple weeks ago and I could practically feel the tinnitus-- it's one of those "hurts so good" situations. So the idea that these indie legends would recall European copies of their new CD Farm for being too loud really does seem like a practical joke. But it's not. According to their website, the snafu occurred when "the software program used for this duplication 'doubled' the sound layers, resulting in a 3 dB increase in the overall sound volume." (Via The Guardian.) While that error may actually bring the volume up to a normal level for longtime fans who have allowed J Mascis to batter their eardrums for years, the band are offering to replace the "defective" discs free of charge. You even get a Dino ringtone (hey, Dinosaur Jr. ringtones exist!) out of the deal. But if you decided to keep your turned-to-11 CD, we would not blame you.' Any other Dino fans had the chance to hear the new record yet?

I was looking forwrad to going to the show tonight, but there is nothing out right now that looks interesting. The video store is even worse.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 04:31 PM) Since they pixelated its chest, it's either female or it has a second penis on its chest. There was no need to blurr it out, NOTHING made me want to look down.

Is the thing with the blonde streaks in its hair, a female?

Apples to oranges, Bartman ( if you want to make an excuse for a Cub team that choked ) killed a team's chance of possibly going to the WS. This guy would've killed one player's shot a at a perfect game. Not nearly the same thing. However, just for fun, let's say the guy had reached way over and made the catch. What would you be thinking right now? -
Get to Chicago. Get to a Sox game.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 10:08 PM) I used to take a product called N.O. Explode before workouts, and it really helped me to have some great workouts. After taking it prior to every workout for around a month, I forgot it one day and felt rather lethargic and was 5 or 10 pounds down as well as a couple reps short on everything I was doing. If you want to use that sort of thing though, don't take it before doing any sort of endurance training. You'll burn out rather quickly if you're doing long distance running or something of that sort. Yep, it's basically speed. You'll work out like an animal for about 45 mins to an hour, then crash HARD. Did you see any size gains?

MARK BUEHRLE PITCHES THE 18TH PERFECT GAME IN HISTORY

Mark seems to live a charmed life and it couldn't happen to a better guy. Congrats! -
I had really high hopes for Tobey M before he went off and made all that Spiderman BS. I still think he'll eventually make something really fantastic. I'm not sure if this film will be it, but it seems like it's a step in the right direction.

Hooters restaurants have god awful wings and most of the servers are neither attractive nor busty.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jul 19, 2009 -> 05:00 AM) HBO replayed the Gatti/Ward trilogy and since I've never seen them before, these fights have surpassed the Morales/Barrera fights as greatest fights I have ever seen... Gatti fighting with one hand get's my vote as the ultimate man's man ever,Gatti was a beast... RIP Champ Gatti broke his hand in probably 4 of his last 5 fights. Not only did he continue fighting, but he'd THROW that hand. A true bad ass. I disagree with them being the greatest fights ever. They were fun to watch because they were fighting each other and neither of those two guys had any real defense, they were basically slug fests. Neither guy had any real luck when they faced a true boxer. Do you recall De La Hoya absolutely destroying Gatti??

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) Is there a rule for how much is too much? Can't say I've ever hit those symptoms, but I have been looking to add protein to my diet lately. I think you'd just be wasting it if you took too much. You'd s*** it all out and your body would not absorb it.
-
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 04:11 PM) I haven't tried NO products, but from the symptoms you're describing you may have had an overload of protein. I noticed in the past when I took too much in a short period of time I'd feel terrible. NO2 is not protein.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 10:52 AM) just sunday, my brother's wedding was on friday/saturday. Too bad. I thought Pitch was a one time deal for them, but they're playing a few shows in Cali too. What can you tell me about this? David Yow cannot be in one piece still. HOLY CRAP, THEY'RE ON TOUR AND COMING TO LA AND SD!!!

Two hikers were found dead and three other are still missing in this area. That might sound extreme except that the temps have peaked between 113-118 these past 5 days. So tax payers have to take the burden of a search mission for these f*ckbags.

I think I mentioned this film after seeing it at the show, but has anyone rented 'Two Lovers' with Joaquin Phoenix yet?
