  1. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) i find people have a pretty strong sentimentality with most of the bands of the late 80's early 90's that said i was never a big faith no more fan but some of pattons later stuff has been really good. Especially tomahawk. I sure do, but FNM was always mediocre and Patton was a goofball.
  2. I have never understood the obssesion with Faith No More or Patton. People still talk about both like the record dropped just yesterday.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) Why does Steinbrenner dress and wear jewelry like an old gay uncle? He looks like Rip Taylor without the moustache. Stop looking, Feb. quote of the month. ^
  4. 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking?' That might be my favorite Stones song.
  5. ".... two doctors have recommended the procedure to prevent recurrent infections." Um, where's the problem? It's not like he's having it done for cosmetic reasons.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 04:08 AM) I listened to Ozzie's interview on the Score. It was atleast 15 minutes long. He felt, for the first time in his career, he were the first person to "throw a punch." Apparently, Guillen learned a lesson from this incident and will be careful of what he says in the future. I believe that. No apology was granted for Nomar, however. That was labeled a joke of Guillen's. His reason for the conference went beyond an apology for Rodriguez. Guillen, whether or not he truly felt guilt, knew this would be an unwanted distraction for players defending a championship title. Mentioned the possible distraction several occasions. If he didn't address his criticism of Rodriguez, it would be a quesiton asked OVER and OVER to players. "How do you feel of Guillen alledging Rodriguez is a hyprocrite?" "Do you agree with Guillen?" "Were you upset Guillen didn't attend the White House?" (Guillen addressed this at length, too). There should be no need to discuss anything but baseball when players report. Everything is out of the way. I doubt it, just wait til the Yankee's series comes around. Hey, maybe ESPN will broadcast that entire series now.
  7. (Los goes into his 'back when I was your age' tone) I remember in the 70's we had some MEAN ass winters back then. Tons of snow AND bitter cold. Quit being candy asses
  8. I don't think it's that bad. By me it's super sunny and there is very little wind, which help a lot. Can you imagine if it was cloudy with 30 MPH winds?
  9. I was surprised and glad to see that Ozzie apologized for what he said. It was funny to hear him say if anyone else has an opinion on it they need to shut up because the issue is between him and A Rod. Well, it was Ozzie who decided to make it a public issue by taking a shot at A Rod through the media, but NOW suddenly it's an issue between him and A Rod? Hopefully this dies quickly now, it is not Ozzie's best moment.
  10. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Ween is way cooler than local H I'm done listening to you.
  11. The numbers you always hear make it seem like 90% of men are with the same 10% of women.
  12. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) i don't think there has ever been a band i hate more than the strokes ever C'mon, you're not trying.
  13. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:23 PM) i was joking around befoe. but this is very serious; local H sucks, you should stop listening to them immediately. LMAO. I grew up on that band, have been following them for a long time and will til the end. They play what they play and don't give a s*** what's cool or pop or indie. The perfect mix of equal parts Cheap Trick, AC/DC and Nirvana. A two man attack that will blow most bands off the stage and was around way before The White Stripes made the two piece 'cool'. It's great to have a Chicago band with balls. We are way off topic, sorry.
  14. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) I'll ask the obvious question here: Who gives a flying f***? We were asked to provide personal favorites. I like upwards of 75 Rolling Stones songs. In my experience, everyone has a different opinion as to what the best Stones song is, and I just don't have the balls to tell someone that my favorite track is the best. It's senseless, elitist horses***. But here you go. I'll nominate 35 so that everyone is happy. And then some asshole will chime in and tell me that I don't know what the f*** I'm talking about because Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, and Honky Tonk Women are nowhere to be found here: Ruby Tuesday Get Off Of My Cloud Under My Thumb 19th Nervous Breakdown Time Is On My Side The Last Time Paint It Black Mother's Little Helper Out Of Time Standing In The Shadow Flight 505 Satisfaction Mother's Little Helper Memphis Street Fighting Man Sympathy For The Devil Midnight Rambler Dead Flowers No Expectations All Down The Line Jumpin Jack Flash Can't You Hear Me Knocking? Sway Monkey Man Gimme Shelter Sweet Virginia Shine A Light Love In Vain b**** Stop Breaking Down Highway Child Can't Always Get What You Want It's Only Rock N Roll Hand Of Fate Shattered Take it easy, I agree with you 100%. Everyone had the chance to nominate two songs. Too late to complain about it now.
  15. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:04 PM) Sorry to hear those two clowns are still on the radio. I'm not surprised. Remember that station employs Mike North. Need I say more?
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) He doesn't look too happy. It also looks like Albert hasn't missed many meals since his playing days ended. Now there's a face that screams happy, well adjusted man who makes good choices.
  17. ...at 4:00PM today. Supposedly he'll be guaranteeing a repeat. Can someone tune in and give us the play by play.
  18. confession: I like the last The Strokes disc.
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) street fighting man is the suck though. best classic rock song? It's not even the best Stones song.
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) Could we get our GM a better hat? Looks like he got it at Walgreens for 5.99 It Does? I think it's pretty sweet.
  21. I don't think Mark B. has stopped smiling since the final out of the WS.
  22. I love the quote from Belle. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5338470
  23. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Don't overreact about it. It's not going to be the difference between losing and winning a championship. Raines may have been a benefit at first base, but then again, anyone whose a good basestealer knew the art well before talking with Raines. I agree, but I'm curious to hear the reasoning behind it from Ozzie.
