  1. According to this, Bud Light and Miller Lite contain the same % of alcohol. NO WAY. http://www.realbeer.com/edu/health/calories.php
  2. I am not drunk. So, I bought a 12-pack of Bud Light last night cuz it was on sale for $5.99. How can you pass that up, right? That stuff must be non alcoholic. Seriously, I pounded down 6 and didn't even realize it. Isn't Bud Light the best selling beer in the U.S?
  3. Hummus on warm pita bread, mmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm good!
  4. I don't really follow Kanye, but this was interesting: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/blenderbu...ht-lip-synching Part of the reason I don't really follow hip hop is because most of what I've heard sounds horrible live.
  5. QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 11:57 AM) Randy Newman? I can hear Randy Newman in the singer for the Hold Steady. So if Randy Newman did Springsteen songs, you'd get THS? HA! I like a few Hold Steady songs, but not a whole lot of them. They're okay, though. Randy Newman/Bruce Sprinsteen/Bob Mould had a baby; the THS. I guess that's an easy comparison at a quick listen.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) In the "business" we call that a "fivehead." One step above a "forehead." Even wider than that 'fivehead' is her mouth. I bet it's useful, but it sure doesn't look good. http://www.delawareonline.com/blogs/upload...iver-773628.jpg
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 05:39 PM) Anyone else think Pam Oliver is pretty hot? Although you wouldn't be if youre not into black women. I like women of all races, but Oliver is hideous.
  8. If Bonnie was hot, this might have been kinda cool.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) There's been 1 time since I've been here that it actually frosted over during the night, but then again I'm up about 900 feet above sea level and tucked in between 2 mountain ranges.. Typically though the Pacific wind patterns will perch temperatures here (and for that matter, in San Francisco, where I was last week) at about 35-40 degrees and up. You're in Pasadena? I was asking about Seattle.
  10. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) There's a chocolate eclair in the Office Fridge on my Floor that's been sitting there since lunchtime. Should I? Sure, I'm sure the fact that someone put it in the fridge means they aren't saving it for later.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 04:35 PM) The Pacific ocean along the western U.S. tends to act as something of a buffer. It brings a lot of moisture with it, but the current that flows down from Alaska keeps many of the cities between the ocean and the mountain ranges perched a little too warm for snow. Crazy. So how cold does it get there in winter??
  12. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) I always saw a "scene" as the city, but the music styles define the scenes. Seattle is known for the Grunge scene, LA was best known for the Hairband thing with a smaller nudge to the late 70's Arty Punk. Washington D.C. in the 80's was known for its Punk scene. New York known for it's Punk and Metal bands. Minneapolis for the Punk bands that would eventually all become what was known as "College Rock", which eventually became called "Alternative". Obviously Chicago is known for its Blues scene. So the scene would be the music genre within the city. When I was heavily into the Punk thing in the 80's my friends and I would always greet each other at shows with a "hey...how's your scene?" as a joke. The Punks in the 80's were VERY serious about the whole "support your scene" thing. We always joked about the killer scene we had...in Crystal Lake. Did all of the cities and 'scenes' really have their own sound though? What exactly was the 'grunge' sound? If you look at the four or five bands that carried the torch for 'grunge', the styles are different. Did the punk bands from NY sound different from the punk bands in DC and Minny and did they have similar sounds to the other bands in their same city?...and was it a new sound?
  13. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 01:06 AM) A group of artists from one region that may or may not have a specific sound. Although the only connection they have would be that they're from the same area. In some ways it exists...for example you've got the underground hip-hop scene here in Chicago that's going towards more of a basic old school sound with artists like: The Cool Kids, Hollywood Holt, Million $ Mano, Mic Terror...etc. Yeah, it seems to me that a 'scene' would need it's own signature sound.
  14. People in Seattle are trippin about the snow they got. It doesn't snow there?? They get tons of rain, doesn't it turn to snow in winter???
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2008 -> 10:19 AM) scenes are overrated. WHo cares where you are from anymore, anyone can get anyones music. What is a 'scene' exactly? Is it a city that is producing good music across many different rock styles and other genres, or is it a city that is making one new style that can only be found in that city? Do either of these even exist any more?
  16. QUOTE (Cali @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) Saw The Wrestler last night, Rourke is AWESOME. I hope he wins the Oscar for his performance. The movie itself is good, but not great. Doesnt really break any new ground story wise, but it's shot really well, particularly the wrestling scenes. The hardcore stuff is intense, especially the aftermath and the tending to the wounds...Ouch I really wanted to see this as well, but if it's mostly a wrestling movie, now I'm not so sure. I was hoping the sub plots were really strong. Tomei is underrated.
  17. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 07:02 PM) True, but he's still a HUGE box office draw. yep and I guess that's all that matters to him and the studio.
  18. QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) She looks like a man. I think she played the villain in 'The Crow' and her name is Michael Wincott. http://www.ljplus.ru/img2/k/s/ksundriya/Mi...-Tom-Dollar.jpg
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) she's pretty good lookin, lucky guy to get her on the beach. It looks like a photo of a boy from 1972.
  20. Wasn't he gonna be one of Heide Fleiss's main studs on her dude ranch??
  21. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 05:39 AM) 7 lbs. sucked hard. Crowd was pretty big with people probably in the age range to 10-70. That shows you the drawing power Will Smith has despite making some bad movies lately. What is the 7 lbs. reference about? Look at the last 5 or so films WS has made, maybe one was decent.

  23. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 10:49 PM) I had to tell my wife about 30 times before she finally went. It kind of started to get annoying b/c when she drives, she'd be like "can you read that sign"? And I'm like wtf, is wearing glasses really that difficult? I know what you mean. I've known one of my best friends for almost 20 years. He's needed glasses the whole time.
  24. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 05:41 AM) Looking at the actual text I dont see what would have been so hard about saying something like, I meant it was the first time I was at a beach, or first time I went parasailing or first time I went snorkeling or I was being sarcastic and saying its lame because we go to the beach all the time. If you cant spin this as a kid you have problems. ...and if she is in fact referring to sex, that fact that it's followed by 'wish u were here' would make it kind of an awkward text.
  25. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 07:45 PM) The heart. I believe it's a reference to Shakespeare's 7 pounds of flesh. Probably 7 organ donations. CONTROVERSY.
