The White Sox have requested waivers of Dewayne Wise for the purpose of granting his unconditional release, according to Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune (via Twitter). I wouldn't mind Granderson if he would get a short, cheap contract, but odds are the White Sox would pay him handsomely, even though he is declining and on the wrong side of 30. He could be a good signing, but his bust factor is so high right now, and is exactly the type of FA the Sox should stay away from. Hope I am wrong, but right now I have no reason for hope in this organization actually making good decisions regarding the future. What have you seen out of Hahn that makes you think he'd sign Granderson . I'd say it's a long shot at best.

Santiago deserved a better fate but we can say that for Sale and Q too. If this team was even poor instead of very poor with the bats we'd be hovering around .500 . So with that in mind, we shore up the D and Garcia hits, add some improvement from a few guys , add some bats somewhere , throw in the even number year 2014 as a good luck charm and we're competing Edit. Forgot bullpen arms , no problem we're good to go.
