  1. His name is Rios and he dances on the sand !!
  2. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:53 PM) Tank looks terrible out there today. Worst I've seen him look all year but all in all he's played pretty good out there.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:40 PM) Not getting the job done 90% of the time is worthless. As much as you'd like to believe that I'm sure his team mates appreciate it.
  4. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:48 PM) Dammit, Viciedo diving and landing on his face. stop that s***, this game is well in hand, you don't have to dive... He bounced his head off the ground pretty good.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) GB so worthless. I saw a guy trying to help the team by going to right not worthlessness.
  6. Damn that Tank against righties !!!!
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) Reed Johnson for the bench My 2nd choice was he makes a deal with the Cubs.
  8. Lots of good pieces out there. Marlins selling Cubs selling. Sox said to want Greinke. Kenny's done a great job getting the Red Sox and Astro's to eat salary. Does he continue to go that route ? There's plenty of suitor for the high end guys with better prospects and willing to eat more money. My prediction is the Sox reacquire Buerhle and hope they can get the Marlins to eat the last year of the contract, This would make the fan base pretty happy and he's had success in the AL as opposed to wondering what you might get from an NL pitcher who pitches in a pitcher friendly park. As much as the Sox are said to want Greinke I can't see the Sox getting a rental after all the moves they've made to trim salary and the trades they've made so far not to take on salary.
  9. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) I disagree. This guy has 3 excellent pitches and reminds of me of a younger Johan Santana. You keep Q! You do not want to repeat another Gio Gonzalez or Dan Hudson situation. I agree with your disagreement. KW has spent the off season stockpiling young arms. He's not going to trade Q .
  10. His name is Rios and he dances on the sand !
  11. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) Rob Deer was pretty dangerous as well Dave Kingman
  12. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 08:01 PM) Perfect time for a Dunn bunt. Never mind
  13. Perfect time for a Dunn bunt.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 07:40 PM) GB maybe try not to pop it up to the right side for the 1000000000000000 time tonight. Got your wish.
  15. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 07:23 PM) Do you really think I want him to fail? Of course not but you have given no basis for your dire prediction .
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 07:10 PM) I dont think he can do it for a whole season. If he continues to pitch like he has in the first half you can quote this and put this in your sig. Ill gladly eat crow. I'm not here trying to make anyone look bad. I just see a pitcher with a bright future . He has to build up his arm and regression is fairly likely since he's in new territory for innings pitched. I expect him to be a fixture in the rotation for many years. I won't say I told you so if he finishes the year doing well if you don't say I told you so if things go the way you predicted. Predicting a Sox to fail and then crowing about it is nothing to brag about.
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 07:00 PM) See I dont think we found a diamond in the rough. I think to much has to go right for Quintana to pitch as well as he has been. I think he was lucky to be as successful as he has been. So he's had how many starts so far 10-12 ? . Pitched 8 shutout innings 3 times without getting a win. I'd say so far an awful lot is going right. He has exhibited very good control and has great mound presence. What does a rookie has to do to impress you ? It's called pitching . Might not have great stuff but did Buerhle / Maddox after 8-10 years in his career ? If you consistently hit your spot you're going to do well.
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 06:54 PM) Do you think its not possible? I think we found a diamond in the rough and his ERA is likely to be 3.00-4.00 rather 6 the rest of the way. But anything is possible. He's in the same boat as Sale as far as innings pitched goes.
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 06:50 PM) Did you really think he would keep his 2.3 ERA? Come on guys. This was bound to happen. So you're saying the rest of the year he will give up 4 or more runs every 6 innings ?
  20. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 06:48 PM) This is probably what we will see from Quintana for the rest of the year. I see these posts every time Q gives up more than a run.
  21. King Kong you know the name of King Kong. You know the fame of King Kong , 10 times as big as a man !
  22. Nice to have Floyd, Crain and Myers instead of a bunch of rooks.
