Like most people who think he's minor league depth I have a pretty good idea that his value isn't that high. It could get much higher if he is the main DH against RHP and gets 25-30 HRs and OPS is .850+ . Higher than that if he can play OF for 25+ games no worse than Schwarber or Castellanos even if it's in RF . LF is preferable for OF'ers of his ilk but we have Vaughn and Eloy manning the corners .

Stick to the next day thinking. I get the favorable matchups take somewhat but not really. The Sox as a team were bumslayers so lots of guys got favorable matchups including Vaughn yet he still had tons of trouble against right handed bums except for that one stretch of a month or so. Sheets slugged .556 and .900 OPS against righties in 179 PA which was enough to be ineligible for Rookie status this year but not enough to get any serious ROY votes. I get that Vaughn will hit RHP much better than Gavin will ever hit LHP and will improve immensely against RHP so Vaughn will always be a better , more complete player. BUt I still think Gavin deserve a shot to prove his worth almost as much as Vaughn has to prove his worth against RHP.

The real perfect post. Even The Athletic didn't mention the curious cases of Rodon and Kimbrel . Nor did they say anything about the giant hole left from losing your nearly 5 WAR pitcher. Also there is the context that the Sox were bumslayers where even the loses of Eloy and Robert really didn't matter during the season, their woeful road record , their middling 2nd half of the season , the loss of Rodon and the reflection of all that in the playoffs. Throw all that together with they are supposed to be World Series contenders who aren't any better than they were last year when they were really pretenders.

Realistically the only 2 from the list that has a chance to be on the 28 are Sousa and Adolfo and Adolfo's spot is precariously with being out of options, Haseley trade and Vaughn coming back probably some time in April. Sousa makes it if he doesn't implode and has an even better chance if Kimbrel is traded before the start of the season. Kopech still isn't ready and Kelly is hurt. Freeman was sent down already.

Well I voted Cespedes just for kicks and I agree Romy is one of the best candidates. Unless he is traded I can see the bullpen being a sore spot if Kimbrel is on the team and can't handle any other inning but the 9th. Then there is Kelly who I vote as most likely to spend a lot of time injured. Then that might translate into Crochet not getting stretched out. However if the Crochet plan is still in effect he'll be pitching middle innings and Sousa is the guy who most resembles Crochet. I'm probably putting way too much stock into how he's done in his 3 appearances this spring but damn he's looked impressive . He might become a go to option when facing innings with 2 lefties coming up.

I think we are voting for the most valuable White Sox Rookie not a rookie savior. If Kimbrel ever gets the boot and Sousa gets a chance he could vault himself ahead of Ruiz. If you look at Ruiz on the surface he did a credible job but in late inning situations was not a good option. Sousa has a nice slider and spots his fastball pretty well.

Really ? I too have an android TV .Cheap TCL model but I can get Apple TV on mine. I watch all my iTunes movies on it. As a matter of fact whenever I use a movie code now that gives me a choice of Vudu/Fandango or Apple I pick Apple because you can family share with Apple and not with Vudu so my daughter in Petaluma can watch it. I did go through some trials and errors with it but I got all the kinks worked out.

I voted Cespedes just for fun but realistically I'd say Sousa, Romy, Burger have the 3 best chances. I'd love it to be Adolfo but even if he makes the 28 once it goes back to 26 he's probably gone.
