  1. Shorten the season back to 154 games or less then. Too much baseball in late October and November is not a good thing.
  2. I had a feeling when I saw it was you responding the Autobahn would be involved. There isn't a speed limit but they do recommend not going over 80. The purpose from the beginning was high-speed travel so there was no reason to limit the speed. The Autobahn network was designed with wider lanes, wider curves and lesser grade changes than other existing roads so that cars could travel faster and safer since there wouldn't be any crossing traffic either. However once again I not focusing on the speed ,or that one Puig incident or blowouts but only have been responding to others who cherry picked one incident out of many I listed. If the others purpose was to get away from the original argument and focus on highway safety then I am probably beat. But I didn't start that discussion . Last time I am responding to anything but the multiple issues about Puig. That was my focus since the start.
  3. I guess you won't be able to see this apology then. I am sorry for saying you said 100 when you did not in all posts where I said you did. This apology is sincere for misrepresenting what you said. See how easy that is to say. Apparently it's not that easy to others. This is what you said. "not sure why 110mph in a 70mph zone is mind blowing to you. " So i will now respond to that. SInce you did leave out the part where he had passengers in the car I can say that if anyone wants to drive 110 on a public highway and they can guarantee having an accident will kill only yourself nor cause any property damage or cause inconvenience to others cleaning you off the street then go ahead and do it as often as you like. I have no idea why you think I am a troll . I listed many reasons in my initial post on the matter. Many agreed with it judging by the amount of positive responses in the emojis. You focused on one reason and others have picked up that gauntlet . I don't think defending things I say is being a troll. I have not intentionally tried to instigate conflict, hostility, or arguments. I stick to the facts. It was you who picked out 1 fact out of many I listed and tried to tell me how harmless it was.
  4. If Puig is on the team and performs well and stays out of trouble I'm all for it. It's the possibility and odds against it I don't like . Please gloat all you want if that comes to fruition. I'm all for anything that helps the team win if no one gets hurt along the way and that includes Puig hurting himself.
  5. Yes you sure are lying and twisting . That is undeniable. Your cavalier attitude cannot mask it. If you expect me to back down think again. Puig isn't necessarily immoral. Stupid and immature at many times in his life for sure. I have no idea why you think admitting you were stupid also makes your argument any stronger. Perhaps to show yourself as just a normal dude to all those that can relate to the thrill of driving fast and being stupid. So I am the martyr while you are the every man who all can enjoy your flippancy and lightheartedness. Don't think for a minute that I am unaware of how clever that is. I honestly hope you never do that again .. a blow out at those speeds would have killed you and your wife and perhaps others. I'm no saint but what I have done or what you have done has no bearing on this discussion
  6. Thank you . That has only been focused on because that is about what I keep getting challenged by others who lie and twist the facts and compare it to other situations including driving less MPH without occupants. It just one incident among many and I won't back down no matter how many lies are told.
  7. I never said you were nuts . I quoted 2 posters and you said I called everyone nuts. Once again you misrepresent the facts but at this point I'll just call it lying your ass off and playing it for laughs. If you drove 110 with your mom in the car and got arrested like Puig jeopardizing not only you life but others in the car and other drivers along with boorish, obnoxious, lazy ,combative behavior on and off the field and while jeopardizing your chances to continue to make vast amounts of money I'd be against hiring you too. Moving the goalposts :To alter the rules or parameters of a situation in such a way as to suit one's needs or objectives.
  8. I called them nuts for thinking he was an entertainment to be enjoyed. Notice I never once argued against his abilities a baseball player. FFS sake try telling the truth. Speed was 110 with occupants including his mother. It was reduced to 100 with no mention of occupants and saying we all drive that fast and you made light of it by comparing it to you driving 85-90 with wife and kids so if that's not the definition of moving the goal posts then I don't know what is.
  9. You can't troll me into getting angry with you but I did give you a laugh emoji.
  10. Well duh I brought it up only when challenged and facts misrepresented and I was accused of changing the facts. I wouldn't have brought that one thing up again if you and others hadn't cherry picked it out of a long list . I'm not upset at all. If upset is defending yourself against people moving the goal posts so be it.
  11. Somehow you think that's the only incident that matters to me because I addressed it individually when someone misrepresented the facts and then you further reduced the speed . It went from 110 with occupants ( the real facts) to 100 with no occupants to 85-90 from you with occupants. Then I was accused of raising the speed myself from one post to another. How was I supposed to respond to that ? I don't think he is worth the risk because of an endless list of transgressions on and off the field involving team mates, other teams , managers, coaches, relatives, writers, civilians and law enforcement. You think he is worth the risk . So be it.
  12. No i listed it among many other transgressions and only addressed it individually when someone else brought it up and reduced the speed to 100 and ignored that he wasn't driving alone in the process. He willfully ignored the facts I gave him.
  13. If you had read the previous posts you will see i originally said it was 110 and only said 100 because Brian Anderson in his post reduced it to 100 and I didn't correct him.
  14. Sure go ahead make light of everything, compare 85-90 to 110, Say you don't care about a feud with Mattingly while Dave Roberts also benched him for making the last out of a game trying to steal 2nd base and didn't slide and then said it was because he felt a tweak in his hammy. Willfully be ignorant of on and off field brawling, disobedience to coaches, faking injuries ,making excuses ,selfish behavior, laziness. The list of transgressions goes on and on. Saying that the Dodgers won with him being a cancer is meaningless. It's a team game and he didn't spread the cancer to his team mates. Cancer is not contagious.
  15. Why do you leave out the part that his mom and 2 other passengers were in the car. Yea everyone has driven 100 per hour in their youth but how many did it with their mom and others in the car ? I can see what camp you are in too and you won't change your mind. I at least entertained the thought that he has matured somewhat while all you focus on is being entertained, Baseball like any job requires cooperation ,dedication and hard work for continual high paying employment. Unlike many other jobs you can carry a certain amount of baggage and still make millions . When the baggage outweighs the talent your job opportunities lessen. This is the dilemma for any team who wants to hire him . Sweeping past transgressions under the rug with thoughts of being entertained and his recent stats is just irresponsible to the team.
  16. I really don't want to get into this. Any tiny bit of research on the guy reveals a lot of negatives surrounding him throughout his career. A bar brawl. ignoring coaches, ignoring defensive positioning, ripping up the defensive positioning card on the field, admitting he didn't work hard because he already had a contract. alienating team mates, running wild ignoring coaches on the bases, overthrowing cutoff men to show off his arm, arrested for driving110 MPH with his mother and 2 other passengers in the car, habitual tardiness, scuffles with team mates, Don Mattingly, his ex manager ,won't even talk about Puig. Mattingly made a lot of sarcastic comments on Puig faking injuries. I love how easy it is to cast stones too because there are soooo many articles everywhere about the guy. SO many in fact I probably missed a lot of what I could list. Lots of this came from his days with the Dodgers and for sure he was very immature. But even immaturity doesn't explain away driving 110 MPH with your mom in the car. That's just moronic. Has he grown up some. Yes , No one could be as dumb and immature as he was continuously when he was younger. Maybe he knows how to manipulate the media better now and when to keep his mouth shut and how to say wonderful things about the team, the town and the fans. Maybe it's the truth.. All this crap about fun and swag is sticking your heads in the sand for the sake of your own entertainment. He got 2 suspensions for on field incidents with the Reds in 2019. A rising team like the Sox already rubs the old guard the wrong way. Do they really need a lightning rod like Puig to make things worse ? Do they really need to be one of those teams getting in on field brawls for your entertainment ? Once in a while those brawls result in injuries. How fun would that be ? AJ Pierzynski was and probably still is a jerk . Unlike Puig I can't recall anyone questioning AJ's dedication and work ethic . But like Puig he was also a hated guy by the opponents and not well liked in the clubhouse. That's the difference between them. Puig is a guy who earlier in his career skated by on his talent alone and now is realizing that talent is going away with age and to continue drawing easy money he needs to work harder , kiss ass in the media, and now that that talent is waning is not wanted by anyone anymore because the talent does not overwhelm the headaches anymore or even the ghosts of perceived headaches.
  17. Greg, Colas has nothing to do with it. If they sign him he will be in the low minors.
  18. Mazara was 8th in all of baseball in 2019 for average distance of HR and 6th in 2018 , 11th in 2017 so I doubt it's the ball only . What we have to hope for is him hitting more fly balls and less ground balls.
  19. But he will get to face the Tigers and Royals a lot more than he faced the Sox.
  20. If the Sox have any interest at all in Puig or Puig in the Sox they both will wait He's still probably looking for more playing time and at least $5M a year . Highly unlikey the Sox want to pay him $3M or that he wants to be the weak side of a platoon to start the season. This will end with another team signing him like the Cards, Rays or Giants for more than the Sox were willing to pay or it will end up with him signing in March .
  21. So what's the amount where he is expendable ?
  22. Apparently he only thinks about the rest of his career when he really has to, not realizing the rest of your career is dependent on everything you do up to that point. He's his own worst enemy.
  23. Propose a trade.to get JP , then another trade to get rid of Mazara .Keep in mind the Sox already gave up a prospect for Mazara Could they get an equal prospect back for him ? Who still needs help in a corner OF ? Cardinals ? Giants ? Do the Sox really need to trade 2 prospects for a RF for 1 year when they already traded one prospect for 2 years ?
