-Mentioned prospect for prospect type deals to deal from an area of depth. Said he had a few discussion about them in recent weeks, but that they are tough to do during the season, but they may resurface in the winter. Great. I already proposed one of those in one of the threads in Future Sox before the podcast .Orioles have a good prospect at third base and I proposed trading from the OF depth since O's are starting a rebuild and might want more depth . Probably would be difficult to convince them to rid themselves of one of their best prospects but if we provide some quality and quantity you never know.

Sorry I messed up on not starting the game thread. Time got away from me before i left for work . Don't start until 1 PM cali time and thought I had time to do it after I got to work and then was sent home and spent time grocery shopping and hitting thrift stores because I thought the game didn't start til 5 :10 my time when it was actually earlier . Game was already in the 3rd inning when I got home when i figured U still had a 1/2 hr or so to start the thread. So good job SS2K.

So I was looking at his stats throughout his whole minor league career and it appears he is a pretty good hitter. He's been in the minors since 2011 and is still only in advanced A ball and he will be 26 in February. I can only conclude that his defense isn't so good. Is this the case ? I can't find one bad hitting year for him and he has pretty good pop and his OBP isn't bad either. Help me out here please . I know he is old now for his current level but earlier when he was younger he put up some good seasons.

I'm not I just want to see him play ! But he was also injured last year in the DSL ? Missed a lot of time there also. Edit: He also had a meniscus problem in a knee and a sprained ankle in the DSL. Following almost the same pattern of his injuries stateside. meaning he plays well runs well then gets injured comes back and shortly thereafter gets injured again. All 4 injuries have come from running the bases.

Robert is the one guy I really want to see get a ton of AB's in the next year so we can finally get a handle on his abilities. Seems like so far he;s been injured more than he plays. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that is the case. Also would be very helpful if we knew who this Folman fellow is and on what team he plays. I don't recall his name being mentioned anywhere and I read Soxtalk including Future Sox a ton. I must have missed it somewhere.

I think we get a little too hung up on the emoji's. Sure its great to get recognition from a well thought out post . On the other hand some of the posts that get the most trophies or likes that I've seen are ones that insult other posters. I only noticed this when on a rare occasion I questioned a certain posters intelligence and I got some of the good emoji's and I started paying attention to it. I don't think I've ever given a "confused" emoji since if I'm confused as to what a person means I ask them what they meant . Just let that stuff roll off your back and make sure you give out the "thanks" and "like" emoji's more often to negate the "confused" ones. Just have to let it roll of your back especially when if you say something about it you'll probably end up getting some "confused" ones from the smart asses or grudge motivated posters. Not everyone has the knowledge or writing ability to convey their thoughts in a meaningful way.

I really didn't mean it to be loaded. I mean I understand his range and base running skills walks etc contribute to it or else I wouldn't have mentioned them.I suppose you are extrapolating a full season from where his current WAR is ? I just wanted you to tell me if you might agree that a WAR based on those skills is really not that impressive when you throw in the other negative things about him . Plus there's also a big difference between a 2 and a 3 WAR player so there's that also.

Where exactly is he/you getting that WAR from ? Batting average low, strikeouts extremely high OPS hovering around .700, errors very high. Is it all coming from walks , his range , base running skills ? You would think a team full of Moncada's at this point in his career wouldn't be a very good team/ lineup but on the other hand you'd think a team lineup filled with all 2-3 WAR guys would be pretty decent . I understand sticking up for the guy, I do. Choke full of potential but the constant using of WAR to defend him seems out of place when at the moment he isn't a very good baseball player. WAR seems to have some inherent flaws if this is what a 2-3 WAR guy looks like.
