Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool twice shame on me. If you honestly expect Robert to both stay healthy and perform when the last and one and only time he did it for close to a full season was 2023, then when he fails again in 2026 shame on the Sox if they do pick up his option and anyone who agrees with it. No one said anything about saving it or being worried about the payroll. If you have $20M to spend spend it on a couple players better than garbage dump pickups that actually might have trade value at the deadline instead of trying to get blood from that turnip again.

They can just not trade him without picking up the option. But he'll be traded.

Under no circumstances do you pick up that option.

Tauchman Rumors
You never know he could be mentoring guys like Baldwin, Teel, Montgomery, and Quero for when he hits LH or some of the other young hitters. Some of the Sox young guys are doing pretty well. You can't take that for granted that they have made a pretty smooth transition to MLB so far. Power usually comes last when you move up a level especially when the emphasis is on quality PAs

He doesn't have to be great right away. Games will be lost regardless. As long as he becomes competent at it eventually.

Weird how people eventually come around to things I said months ago.

Bullpen Moves
And that's not going to happen was my point. Have at it if you like thinking there are fantasy offers out there. Very few trades have gone down so far and the typical returns are pitchers. The market is setting up to be much like last year.

Bullpen Moves
Taylor hasn't proven anything except that he throws hard. You'd selling low. I don't get the fascination with moving him. He barely pitched in college. They're being careful with his usage. We have no idea if he might become a starter but he's a baby in his MLB time now . It's not like he was a big top 100 name. He's still a project . You'd be trading all his upside for a downside price.

7/27 GT - Cubs at Sox (1:10pm CDT)
Dodger Stadium parking is just bad if not worse considering home games are always sold out. Everything crammed into a ravine. The fan experience is better when you have some of the best teams and players in MLB.
