  1. Swinging bunt by Phegs and throwing error by Scherzer puts Sox up 5-0. That Phegley quick stop got him to 3rd base.
  2. My 2 fav guys Gillespie and Tank combine for a run.
  3. Ump helping Scherzer get into a rhythm with some questionable calls while Sale walked Hunter with 2 pitches that could've been called strike 3. Gillespie with a double.
  4. Iglesias still hitting .320 which he has been at for a long time.
  5. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 06:00 PM) I feel like Phegley's goal on every groundout where he is trying to beat the throw, he is trying to stop himself as close to 1st base as he can. At least 4 or 5 times now I have seen him slow down as he approaches 1st and then come to a complete stop 5 feet past 1st. It's like he doesn't realize he can run through the base, it's weird and he is going to break an ankle stopping so hard. Love Sale dancing in the dugout over Cabrera's ejection.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 05:54 PM) El Rockin, your position on closer surprises me. I think Reed is a very good closer and much better prospect than Nate. Only thing that's going to wreck Reed is what wrecks all closers not named Rivera. For some reason they bomb after 3-4-5 years. And I guess that will happen to Reed as well. Whatever happened to Dunn's new philosophy of hitting the other way to get more hits? That's what I don't like about Dunn and a lot of hitters who say bulls*** they don't even mean. Dunn hit the other way for what? 3-5 games?? 3 months
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 06:37 PM) But at least they seemed to care in the Yankees series. The last two nights have been just ridiculous. Stoney and Hawk keep saying they don't want to play the younger guys because of respect to teams in a pennant race, but continuing to play the veterans is probably making it easier for the opposition to win. I had to laugh at that when they said it. This was our best lineup tonight ?
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 06:20 PM) Orioles are still in it and are at home. They'll get the calls. Thanl goodness for instant replay when it comes. Camera's are impartial.
  9. I'm sickened by bad umpiring. Exact same looking play at 1st and the ump called the Oriole safe (which he was) and the White Sox ( Viciedo) out (which he wasn't). Stone talked to Jim Palmer between innings and Palmer asked him "What did you guys do to the umps " ?
  10. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 05:40 PM) Do you guys want Keppinger back next year? I wouldn't mind if he got traded. I like him as a backup.
  11. Robin's love for Keppinger 3rd or 6th constantly putting him in the middle of the line up is irksome. Seems like he prefers the vets just as much as Ozzie did.
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 06:50 PM) Always has got every borderline call. When it even catches the blackest of the black give him a strike at least 2 pitches last night and 2 tonight can't be called strikes. A legend has to throw strikes like everyone else.
  13. He can pitch forever getting those calls if his body let him.
  14. The last 2 games I'm getting sick of Rivera getting those calls. BS
  15. Happy 72nd Birthday to Hawk. I think Dan Plesac is calling the game with him.
  16. Every reliever gave up a hit to their 1st batter ??
  17. How does this work ? We want Sale to get a win but the Sox to lose ?
  18. 3 straight walks by Leesman after 2 outs. 19 and counting.
  19. Pk hitting much better the last week drives in Alexei after Bogaerts double clutches then throws it away and Alexei given a hit then steals 2nd.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 1, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) I'm pissed at the throw more than anything. I think he had a chance to get him at 1st since the runner probably wasn't running thinking the line drive was caught. But Conor wasnt prepared to throw it but ump probably said he dropped it and forced him to try for the out at 1st.
  21. Robin Ejected after Gillaspie snares line drive. Goes to double up runner from third , loses the ball , ump says dropped line up , Conor then has to hurriedly throw to 1st and throws it away. Run score runner on 2nd on the wild throw. And now a single by Ortiz who has just murdered us this series and it's 7-4. Nava DP ends inning.
