QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/star-p...ard_648688.html You'd think the people that did the commercial would have asked him "so, what do you think about Obama" before airing this thing. But that would make too much sense.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) I was just sent an email that said the CTO is submitting paperwork tomorrow to make me a job offer *crosses fingers* Good luck!

Mike Gundy rant is the winner. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 08:27 AM) For the Soxtalk old timers... The MOTHERf***ING b****ASS DIPs*** PASSIONLESS SOX thread. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3528 Weird to see how many of the posters I don't recognize, and I've been here since 2004.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 08:10 AM) A legal analysis of Jay-Z's 99 problems. I saw that and it made me laugh, especially since I'm taking Crim Pro this summer so the 4th amendment has pretty much been my life.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 05:50 PM) Guys please read the link it explains how it is bulls*** but is propagating through the right-wing media with blazing speed. It's based on a "survey" by a tea party group. Well yeah, that was my point. Stupid people will latch onto stupid things. Not saying all tea partiers are stupid, but people blindly accepting/passing on such data are.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 04:44 PM) New right-wing meme: 83% OF DOCTORS WILL QUIT BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE! Eh, just like 83% of Dems left the country after Bush was elected and 83% of Repubs left the ountry after the Health Care decision came out. Wow, I'm tired of all this.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) Does greg have offspring? So I just went in three threads in a row (NBA, NHL, NFL) that I hadn't checked since yesterday, and the first page I looked on each one had you asking some form of this question. Classic.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) good job getting me to participate in a conversation I started! A dirty, devious trick. (or perhaps it was I who have made you post) There's way too much Inception going on in this thread. And we all know the GOP and the Democrats can't handle something like Inception, so we might as well have it handled privately.

QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 08:27 AM) He also portrayed our city rivals as yuppies with delusions of grandeur, so that edged my allegiance ever-closer to the Southsiders. This line was probably the best way to get people here to like you. Good job.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 10:17 PM) I promise I won't call her Hermione Granger during. (Unless she somehow likes that) I'm betting she'd absolutely hate it.
-
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 10:10 AM) Yeah, like every day. Probably not the answer shack was looking for...but funny nonetheless.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) Gave Anger Management 3 episodes. It's a pretty awful show but there is nothing else on Thurs so I'll probably DVR it and watch when bored. MEN AT WORK and more importantly SUITS say hi.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) GET OFF MY .25 ACRE LAWN What, a .25 acre lawn is huge! Most lots were just .25 acres, including the house and driveway and whatnot.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Damn. I'm such a troll. What's it like to live under a bridge?

I used to watch the Andy Griffith Show everyday with my parents. Copying the theme song is how I learned to whistle and snap. He'll be missed; seemed like a great guy.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 01:52 AM) Parise or Suter? That's that s*** I DO like! Thanks for putting that song back in my head, jerk. I had finally gotten it out (though that song is the s*** I DO like!). -
Seriously, the best thing that could happen to LeBron and the Heat would be if there's a Howard/Williams/Johnson superteam in Brooklyn and Howard acted like an even bigger b**** than LeBron to get his way.

On Volokh a few weeks ago, they had stuff from the guys the who authored the study that Bloomberg mentioned (relied on, even?) to support his plan. They said Bloomberg had it wrong. Lemme see if I can find it. EDIT: Here it is.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) This is funny, but would have been funnier if Roberts was photoshopped in. Add even more fuel to the conspiracy fire.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jun 30, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) Bachelor party is in St. Louis next weekend for two days... We like to drink, a lot. Any suggestions or must stops? Delmar St. (or Blvd, Ave...can't remember) in University City, which is JUST west of the city, is a fun area. It's where Nelly is from. Tons of bars, musicians on the street and stuff. Or, at least there were last time I was there, which was about 6 years ago. It's right by Washington University St. Louis.

Moving is exhausting, but it does give an odd sense of accomplishment. Just moved some things yesterday, today is all the big stuff (ie, the bed's getting moved, which means I'll now be at the new place). I've never moved within a city before; the new place is just 10-15 minutes away, whereas I'm used to moving 4-6 hours away. It's much easier, way more flexibility.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) Stuff like this is why the internet/Twitter are so awesome: @MikeTyson .@holyfield's ear would've been much better with his new BBQ sauce. check it out http://realdealbbqsauce.com #TGIF Wow. Awesome.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 01:43 PM) If Indiana can keep their own talent in state, IU will be just fine. My thinking as well, especially when you add in the DC area like He Gawn mentioned.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 08:58 AM) I know it's fun to complain about tax increases...but seriously, has Rahmbo done anything near the level of Daley destroying an airfield or allowing the city to be ripped off completely on the parking meter deal yet? I don't think so...but not living in Chicago anymore, I don't hear nearly as much as I used to.
