I'd like to see all of them do well. I can't really recall the last Sox player that left that I wanted to see do poorly. I guess I'm indifferent on how Carl does.

Who else would be in on Lee? The Cardinals won't have the money with most of their pitchers free agents. The Cubs should be interested but probably will come up short on the dollars. I just kind of wonder why the Brewers are going to let him walk. He might not be worth a 5 year contract but he's very productive and really does help take the pressure off the kids in the lineup. Could he become a Met? Hmm.

Mario Williams to be #1 Pick

Isn't Taylor significantly lighter than that? I thought he was more undersized in terms of weight. I'm sorry but I think the Texans got cold-feet about marrying a 10 and will soon realize they are dating a 7 and won't know what the hell happened. Somebody is going to lose a job over this in time -

Denver's secret is that they don't place a ton of value in the line in terms of draft choices or money, for the most part. They find guys who can do a certain thing and are kind of undervalued around the league. You can get those guys a little later on and I think the Texans will operate like that in the near future. When I heard about Mario WIlliams sack breakdowns, and I didn't see him in college really and nobody else really has outside of college football junkies or gambling addicts, it kind of worried me. Just remember Courtney BRown was supposed to be not a superstar but a historic superstar on D. JUst because its a less sexy position does NOT mean there is less risk. Peter King is reporting by the way that the Saints are pretty thrilled to take bUsh and won't really look to move out of that spot -
yeah I won't "give Singleton a chance". I listened to him and he sucks. We won the f***in world series, not the AAA playoffs. There are only like 30 of those radio color jobs in the world and you should have to earn it and singleton clearly didn't earn it on merit, just that he was a Sox player who would work cheap.

If I were the Texans with Dom Davis and Vernand Morency(drafted just a year ago) yeah you could trade into the first a few spots and grab a back, although backs tend to fall and I bet one of those studs (Williams, White, Maroney) will somehow slip to the 2nd round-the top of it. However, with those two young backs, I wouldn't draft another. Now, I would have taken Reggie Bush but since you decided your backfield was strong enough, its time to work on the trenches with an o-lineman or some more front 7 help or a young corner. THat might help the Texans -

assault with a deadly weapon? Come on, thats just idiotic. Anyways, it appears the up strike is ending. Weird timing huh? -

Given the dugout appeared to be the direction he was going in, it would be hard to accidentally hit him. The reports undeniably understated the impact of the toss. -

The video is worse than I had heard so I amend my vote to 30 games. 15 percent of the nation is choosing lifetime ban on espn.com which is of course, retarded. Do these people vote in elections? -

SOme sites speculate Denver will send the #15 pick but I think they are talking out of their ass. I think it was going to be the 6th pick in teh second round but now that Ashley Lelie wants to be a little b**** all the sudden I think it will be Lelie and maybe a #4 or a 3. Lelie is in a walk year so GB would have to think about talking extension, as will Denver or NO if they trade for Walker. -

The ump is a scab so I doubt baseball would make him compensate him, and I doubt that would fall under their control anyways -

yeah there is no video, not yet anyways. He didn't thik "I'm a superstar athlete". He just didn't think. LEt's not crucify the kid. He made a huge mistake but it was just a mistake. Nobody got hurt. Someone could have so a healthy suspension is in order but let's not overdo it -
Delmon Young throws bat at umpire after...
Punch and Judy Garland replied to maggsmaggs's topic in The Diamond Club
Most people want him suspended with the key being thrown away. I'm stunned. I think its because he's not a major leaguer and because there aren't any Tampa fans. If he were on the Sawx or the Dodgers then their fanbases would get behind him. I say more than the Roberto Alomar suspension but nothing too ridiculous. 15-20 games will get the message across. Ask yourself, what does a season suspension tell a kid that 20 games doesn't? To me, not much -

Punch and Judy Garland replied to maggsmaggs's topic in The Diamond Club
Yeah it sounds a bit overblown to say he threw his bat at the ump but there was undeniably unacceptable contact made so he'll pay the price. He's a very, very young man and I bet he overcomes this. Young stars often have bumps in the road. As long as he is held accountable, I'm sure he'll still become a star hitter. The Rays have had their hands full with Elijah Dukes but most of Delmon's problems have either been lesser or kept quiet -
Ricky Williams officially suspended
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Balta1701's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Ricky was dominant at the end of 05. He got screwed by the league here. He's not smoking weed and they judged him by his past not his present -

Between TO, Bonds, Favre, and Clemens-sometimes you gotta put on Comedy Central or a movie and get away from this junk -
he does do his own bog board which is shown on draft day that kinda does what you want

Abercrombie has been better of late but he'd be a great pickup for FLorida. I think I'm gonna bet on Pittsburgh though for his landing spot -

Why pay $8.50 to see the movie about a guy who jacks up shots and doesn't pass when you can watch Kobe Bryant do it on free tv? -
What do you mean Glaivne's recent tradk record? He's had an era under 4 the last two years and was outstanding since the BReak last year. Its not a fluke. He started having faith in his pitches again. He was throwing soft stuff in and the fastball away which was causing him to get beat in 03. He committed to throwing his fastball inside again and hitters aren't hitting it fair
