Who Will Have The Most SB's??
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Whitesoxfan56's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah Crawford is a special player. IF he walks a little more, his steals will go up. He's showed very good pop too. I just wonder if he'll have enough plate discipline to reach 70 steals. -

well I guess I stand corrected. Crwaford is a superiro player in virtually every way possible but it's not the homer in me that thinks Pods will have more steals. -

I think after leaving office they gain mutual respect for each other. There are only a few people in the world that know how they feel professionally and personally so it's not too surprising how they get along. Kind of like how ballplayers and movie stars are friends with people in their own profession because they know how it goes. -
I don't either. I think they are a team more built for the five game series than the 7 . I say this due to them having the game's best pitcher (or darn near it). Still, they've struggled in that environment as well the last two years, but granted they did play the evil empire both years. Maybe Mauer will be that good, many certainly think so.

I don't think so. I don't really like Pods or the acquisition but I do know he'll steal a lot of bases if nothing else. WOuld Crawford win a poll? Maybe. I bet if you polled fantasy baseball players or stat guys that they'd pick Pods for more steals -

I'm surprised he settled for one year. I read where he wants to find a destination that will last. I honestly think he'll be the guy for at least two years there though -
79? They shouldn't tease him about making the roster with such a popular number

We haven't seen much of Millwood. I think we know how that's worked out for us in the past

Coles must have relented or lowered demands on his extension. Not sure why he deserves an extention as he just signed a long term deal with Wash. -

I'm not saying that they won't take Smith. It would definitely be the betting man's favorite. A lot will depend on what the Dolpins do and I don't believe anyone actually knows (Rolle, Pacman, DJ, Smith, ROnnie B, and Benson are all legit candidates). I think that Cleveland is going to have to love Smith to take him, not just like him. -
Maybe, but I wouldn't say it's an absolute given. Tinowitz is of course a huge Cubs guy. I'd hate to see a good thing messed with. Just my op

No, I think he's saying that it doesn't matter because that is how it is going to be viewed by many. Bush and co. have been teflon lately so it probably doesn't matter domestically. However, it might be bad for recently improved euro relations.

I think wgn probably figures with bulls tv ratings on the rise, it's a good time to parlay that into the radio gig too. THe Bulls appear to be on the verge of long term compeitivenss. GOod idea for them. As far as the Sox go, I hope they stay on MVP because i enjoy how MJK give the Sox extra coverage since they are on the station.

I bet the Browns surprise. Your boy DJ could be going there if the Trent Difler rumors are true. With a guy like Romeo, the rookie qb might not be a slam dunk afterall. -

I think Pods has the worst season on that list with the exception possibly of Freel, but he will have the most steals. record Breaking? He ain't Rickey. Anyways, I think he's the only one who gets over 55. Crawford seems the most likely challenger but he's had the mid fifites both years. IF he walks more he might have a lot more though -
Anyone thinking that the Italians may want to even up? Paging Geraldo Rivera to Baghdad.......

The Bills sign Kelly Holcombe. Makes sense for them, but not much for Kelly. Maybe the Browns really are hot for trot on Trent Dilfer. That's all I can figure on why he'd not be the man there.

I don't think Oakland has enough protection in the middle of the lineup for Chavez. They desperatley need a right-handed thumper. I think that obp can be overrated very easily. I agree that it is valubale in a lineup of run producers or with speed. When you have neither, I think you don't have an offense capable of being a championship lineup.

Here's how I see this story playing out: IF Mac, Raffy and Hurt show up, they will not say much besides denials. I think Schilling will have a few noteworthy quotes but all the drama will be if a congressman starts grilling Canseco, who is probably not articulate enough to get his way out of such a situation. Now if Bonds were there, there would be fireworks and record ratings for c-span -
well let's not get too crazy here
