  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) I was there for a month this past year and heard plenty of examples of his vile mouth with my own ears. [Edited] He's a disgusting man. [Edited] Anybody who knows Razor will defend him against these ridiculous accusations. You obviously have him confused with someone else. People who really know Razor know these statements are NOT true. He doesn't drink, doesn't frequent bars and I've never ever heard the "N" word come out of his mouth, much less him disrespect others. And I guess you were also present when all this stuff happened-- no hearsay, eavesdropping on conversations you are not involved in. You are conveniently at the same bar (once again he doesn't drink) at the same time he got asked to leave for offending females? What is the name of this "frequented mexican restaurant" in Tucson or Chicago??? Are you affiliated with the Sox and privy to all this knowledge first hand? It is hard to take what you say at face value without corroboration from another witness. Your claims are unsubstantiated vague innuendos. Be careful what you say with these outrageous remarks. I am no lawyer, but I think it is called slander-- when you make malicious false and defamatory statements implied to be factual that harms a persons reputation. I feel obligated to defend him as I have know him and his family for a long time, since his playing days in Indianapolis.
  2. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 05:47 PM) As poor of a play that was, I'd hate to think that Shines told him to stay. Singleton said "Shines visibly upset"...
  3. Because he's an arrogant horses' ass? Oh, maybe I'm wrong. And Ozzie isn't??????????????
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) but they at least talked as to the speculation of the injury, correct? I mean, you didn't know for sure what it was, but you at least knew it was an injury. I haven't heard Hawk or DJ talk about it at all, but then again I just turned it on in the 4th inning. Gameday just stated "Dye left game due to leg injury"...
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 08:16 PM) it's a different situation with runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out than 2 outs runner at 1st. It changed the whole complexion of that inning Then it would have been a doubleplay....
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) STOP MAKING OUTS ON THE BASEPATHS IN FRONT OF JIM THOME! Yeah cause he hit a bomb to the second baseman!!!!
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) With Thome being injured almost all of 2005, and the second half of 2006, it's pretty bad news for him to be hurt this early in 2007. Thome is in lineup tonight...
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:12 AM) Not what's on chicagosports right now. Dye would have played, not so for Thome. Thome is DH tonight..
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 05:53 PM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/mlb/gameda...1&brand=cws Tie game now. Oh joy, Erstad committed an error fielding. Guess which position he's at? Oh joy, add another error to Erstad's tally (fielding!!!!)
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) It's wrong to blame Greg Walker. Stewart had 8 TERRIBLE major league at-bats. It's not like those were Walker's fault. What was he supposed to do? Correct 5 years of poor coaching in 8 at-bats? You can blame the Sox system of letting hitters use long looping swings in the minor leagues until they fail at the upper levels and major leagues. Well it seems as if the Rangers hitting staff did a pretty good job in a couple of weeks....
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) I've heard that the Sox have left him off of the 40 man roster, so he's going to be a FA unless they change their mind in the next few weeks. Any update on his situation? Don't know anything about his roster situation, but he is the starting pitcher tonight in Venezuela Winter League team for the Sox.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) Lance gonna start game 3? No, Heath Phillips.
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 04:00 PM) God I hope not. Keep us updated Minorsfan. Weren't you the first to Haeger starting against the Angels? If my info is correct (I trust my source) I think they are going to bring him up and then DL him for a minor league rehab assignment-- not really sure how all that works but he would be available for the sox in the playoffs if needed I think.
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) He hasn't played in 2 weeks, and hasn't played well in a year. Somehow I doubt that 'something' is him getting called up. I heard he is getting the call up today, can't confirm in print but have some inside info. I am sure it will come out later today.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 09:24 AM) Figured I'd get this up early with Broadway's debut in Charlotte. Tonights game has rained out.
  16. QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Gustavo Molina just got moved up. He's shown a little more power than Stewart, but he's batting like .229 in AA. Stewart got put on the DL with an ankle sprain in the game Saturday night.
  17. Josh Fields was taken out because of injury I think it is a precautionary move, he got his knee hit by the helmet of a Pawtucket player when he slide into third. He stayed in the game but was removed to be safe I assume since Velandia was available on the bench
  18. If anyone is interested you can e-mail the players from either the World or USA teams thru mlb.com and follow the futures thread.. it also prints their responses.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 07:16 AM) I thought I saw somewhere as well that Munoz got sent down to Birmingham? You're correct. Arnie Munoz was demoted to Birmingham from Charlotte, while Nate Cornejo was promoted from Birmingham to Charlotte all on June 5.
  20. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) Interesting that Tracey is starting. Just look at the numbers of the starters for the Sox today, just great. I really think people have underestimated the depth of the farm system. Hopefully, this is the case and not that its April and the hitters are just slumping. Lubisich and Nomo are both hurt. He is starting in Nomo's spot.
  21. I think Nomo has been scratched for Charlotte tonight, some elbow soreness. Stephen Randolph probable.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) Am I missing something. When the hell did Honel undergo Tommy John? Whoever you were talking with was messing with you because Honel was pitching at such a late part of last year that if he somehow (under the radar) underwent Tommy John he wouldn't even be close to being in pitching shape. That said, does anyone know if he underwent Tommy John. This off-season seems like a blurr to me and I pretty much ignoring the minors the final month of the season with the Sox in the thick of the pennant race and than in the playoffs. I do know that Kris Honel DID have Tommy John surgery this past offseason. As far as when he will be back to pitching although I am not familiar with the recovery timetable of this type of surgery I would imagine it may be awhile???? C
  23. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) OZZIE JUST THINKS HE'S THAT f***IN GOOD!!! THIS IS THE WORST MOVE OF THE SEASON. Lets be positive because he just may prove you wrong.. OH HE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
