  1. 30 wins is next to impossible with 5 man rotations, and he would actually have to lower his ERA from where it is now to get to 1.12. He's having an incredible season, but I can't see him getting either of those.
  2. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 05:51 AM) If I was suave enough to pick up random women at a grocery store I'd never leave Trader Joe's. Both times I've been there the place was overrun with attractive (young and old) women. I advise everyone to take advantage of this before Milkman gets wind, starts creeping around, and ruins it for everybody. All I can say is, the man......has sexual demons. Hot chicks dig 20-something curmudgeons?
  3. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) Taking the family to Alaska for two weeks. Oh man, I went two years ago, it was freakin' awesome. Going to Portland at the end of July.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) ANyone know of a good place in northern Illinois that breeds or where you can adopt labrador puppies? Illinois Animal Shelters
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 08:05 PM) If the Sox score in the 9th and close it out who gets the win? Whoever is pitching when the last out in the 8th is recorded.
  6. Sox need to get this guy's pitch count up and get him out early.
  7. I think Colby Rasmus is pretty underrated. Plus, he's burning in the outfield.
  8. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 08:54 AM) Seriously. All I ever hear is how that team was supposed to be lined up to become a dynasty and they never even made it back to the Super Bowl. Those guys are totally bought into their own hype. Well, only one team in the NFL has ever won more games in a season and they had an unbelievable point differential in the postseason, some thing like 90-10. Not sure, but I would guess that is some kind of record.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 02:07 PM) That Hudson stuff seemed pretty legitimate. Peavy needs to be placed on the DL immediately though. Why? They can make it retroactive, there's no need to rush anything.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 10:40 AM) Wait, so we still think it's awesome that the Bears last championship was 25 years ago? I, for one, don't relish that championship seeing as I'm 27. Well, its better than not winning one in the last 25 years, isn't it?
  11. Ok, so the title is a bit misleading, we don't know for sure what the deal is, right?
  12. I wonder if any of this is getting played up for that TV show.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 07:06 PM) I'd say Hahn has done far more than Epstein did before becoming GM in 02. I'm not disagreeing with you, but what has he done? Not much info on wiki. Just saying "believe me, he can do it" doesn't really mean much.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 05:40 PM) What qualifications did Theo Epstein have when he took over the Red Sox at age 28 in 2002? Believe me, Hahn is qualified for the job. You don't need to be 50 years old to be a GM. Epstein attended Yale University where he lived at Jonathan Edwards College and served as sports editor of the Yale Daily News, and graduated in 1995 with a degree in American Studies. Eventually he took a job in the PR department of the San Diego Padres; soon Epstein would become the team's Director of Baseball Operations. While working for the Padres, he studied full-time at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree but has not ever been a member of the State Bar of California.[6] Former Padres President Larry Lucchino became president and CEO of the Red Sox on November 25, 2002 and hired Epstein to work under him. At the end of the 2002 season, Lucchino appointed Epstein to replace interim GM Mike Port. Epstein is credited with making several key acquisitions, including David Ortiz, Kevin Millar, and Curt Schilling, during his first tenure as Red Sox GM, who were regarded as instrumental in breaking the so-called "Curse of the Bambino" and winning the Red Sox their first World Series Championship since 1918.
  15. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 11:32 AM) It is pretty likely we will face Strasburg on Saturday the 19th if the schedule pans out. Great challenge and I hope we do well. Anyone catching today's Strasburg game to watch him feast on the Tribe?? They moved him up to Friday.
  16. So AJ's rights kick in tomorrow, right? Does that mean that he would have to be traded by midnight tonight?
  17. I say go back to changing the bad words to other words, like f*** to fish, and s*** to shinola or something.
  18. I need to find a program, preferably free, that will allow me to record audio from an outside source and convert it to an mp3. I downloaded a program called audacity and I was able to record the audio, but I couldn't convert it. Can anybody help? To clarify: The music is on a digital multi-track recorder. I am plugging this into my computer with a RCA to 1/8" cable. I need to be able to record the songs and then save them as an mp3.
  19. DEA agents went into an apartment across the alley from me with guns drawn this morning. 2 girls left in handcuffs.
