QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) Anyone who uses coinstar is a just plain stupid. What do you think about people who make absolute statements about situations they know little about?
-
QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jan 26, 2009 -> 05:36 PM) "He told me last year was his most miserable year in baseball," one scout said obviously there was a lot going on in that club house regarding oc that we dont know about. We will have to wait until Ozzie write his book.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 02:22 AM) Not a fan either. I'd rather have regular sex. At least the girl has fun then as well. Well, some girls actually enjoy giving them. If you find a girl like that you may change your opinion.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 04:10 AM) Why do they have to be black? Why did this have to be green?

Anybody know how likely this is to be approved by the owners or who ever has to approve it?

You all are confusing America with the USA.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 11:20 PM) I'm not into music at all. I used to really like the band Grandaddy. Any suggestions? I was a big fan of Grandaddy. You might like another band that doesn't exist any more called Pedro the Lion. Check out the album Control.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 21, 2009 -> 07:34 AM) So I got to work and got out of my car only to realize I was wearing two different shoes. Ha, I did that a few years ago, not that many people noticed.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) Ever heard of six degrees of Kevin Bacon? EVERYONE is one, or two degrees from a drug dealer. I assume that no one would be looking for it because most people would probably call the cops if they received it. Yeah, but 30 lbs. is quite a bit more than the casual pot dealer has laying around his home. You don't sell 30 lbs. by the quarter or even by the ounce. You are talking about the guy who supplies the guy who supplies the weed man. I don't know you so I'm not saying you don't know that guy, but moving 30 lbs. without already having a buyer would be very difficult for most people.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 02:07 AM) So let's assume it was just dropped off then. Chances are, the sender will not be looking for it and UPS has no proof that it ever made it into my hands. I'm selling it for cheap, ASAP. Unless you have already have connections with drug dealers, I'm guessing that getting rid of 30 lbs. of weed quickly is a going to be easier said than done. And why do you assume nobody would be looking for it?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 16, 2009 -> 06:34 PM) How much money would that be? Well, I wan't talking about money.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 16, 2009 -> 12:55 PM) Would you have contacted the police if this happened to you? Wow, that would be interesting. It's like a story out of a movie. On one hand you could be set up for a while, but on the other, some goons may come looking for their s***.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) I see it like this: the Bears have been wildly inconsistent since tiger late 80’s, but remain very much a top tier franchise in the minds of the majority of NFL fans, because of the Ditka/Ryan legacy... I’d say the Jordan Era has bought the Bulls at least 20 years of unaltered fan support. Does this mean something or was it a typo?

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 07:50 PM) The kid's ten. When was the last time you heard of a smart 10 year old? -
QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Jan 15, 2009 -> 03:49 PM) Wasn't there a story a few years back about Colon treating the entire Angels team to White Castle? The details escape me, but that must have been one helluva feast! Gas!

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 12, 2009 -> 06:01 PM) We should ban people for posting about any trade rumors with the Angels Totally agree, and also for calling games over in the first inning too.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 12, 2009 -> 01:36 PM) No one gets 100%, basically. Some folks apparently think that no one in the modern age should be in. Didn't one player get 100% on his first ballot? Maybe Seaver?

A doomsday scenario for O. Cabrera/Sox
Leonard Zelig replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Isn' there a rule that says you have to wait some determined amount of time before trading a player that you signed? -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 6, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) My girlfriend currently holds a BA in English from University of Illinois - Chicago. She's been working in media for a little while but has recently decided that she'd like to switch careers a little and teach English in secondary school (6-12). We've been looking around at different colleges for a few days now, but only Governor's State seems to have a separate program set up for this case. Everywhere else just has your typical four-year bachelor's listed. She has not been working long enough to qualify for the state's accelerated certification program, unfortunately, and we can't seem to find anything tailored to this situation. Before we start pestering college admissions/ advisers offices, I was wondering if anyone had some insight into this situation. How many classes does one typically have to take (in addition to student teaching and basic skills tests) to file for certification if you already hold a relevant bachelor's degree? Thanks! This kind of stuff varies from state to state. Talk to some schools, they will give you the most accurate information.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 12:04 PM) Not all of the actors who appeared in this movie actually wound up dead! On another note, how f***ing s***ty were the special features for this film? I mean, I'd pay $50 just for some screen tests with Ledger and s***, why did they give me two short, boring documentaries and those stupid Gothan Tonight shorts? Ugh. I adore the movie, but I expected more out of the special features. So you will buy the "special" edition in a few years?

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
Leonard Zelig replied to ChiSox_Sonix's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I thought I heard on the radio that next year the Pro Bowl will be moved to Florida and be held the week before the Super Bowl. Has anybody else heard this? Is it true? It would probably draw a lot more TV viewers.
