  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) I was fine with Bonnaroos lineup last year. BUt this year they are clearly trying to grab back that disgusting awful filthy group of fans. Oh man Bela Fleck can f***in PLUCK man Hey, Victor Wooten is a badass bassist.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 10:31 AM) Sos anyways, this is how you do it bonnaroo Did you get beat up at Bonnaroo or something? Your disdain of it is puzzling to me. Yeah, I'd love to go to Coachella, but I can get to Manchester in about six hours. Coachella is about 1500 miles farther.
  3. That is awesome, excellent information and it looks great. Thank you Kalapse.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 04:23 PM) He's as much in the upper echelon of actors as a Brad Pitt or a Tom Cruise ever was... what is your criteria? Ability to make himself cry? I think he's done that. Ability to land the lead high-grossing films? Only the highest grossing ever... a wide-range of accents and roles? He's done that too. To say he's not in the upper echelon of current actors is to ignore reality. Christian Bale is the hottest thing in Hollywood right now. He's starved himself for roles, he's bulked up, he's played an every man, he's played the man... he's done it all. This is as much an indictment on the current chaff the acting population is made up of right now, but regardless, Bale is incredibly talented, but if you prefer your Phillip Seymour Hoffman's that's your prerogative. Sorry, but I don't associate ticket sales or "hotness" with quality. Same goes for music.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) To compare Bale to Keanu Reeves is ludicrous. So is to say he is in the upper echelon of actors. I know it wasn't you, but it was said earlier.

    Question

QUOTE (Tmar @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 11:26 AM) I know, but I wanted to say "False. Black bear" Well that's debatable

    Question

QUOTE (Tmar @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 08:02 AM) False. Black bear I said that about 9 hours ago.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 07:57 AM) His HBO contract was over when Inside the NFL ended there and moved to Showtime. He hosted the Larsen perfect game episode day 1 of the channel. Huh, I hadn't seen him on there yet. Good move for them.
  9. Just heard Bob Costas left HBO for the MLB network.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) Because the list will attract sweaty miserable hippies and all day outdoor festivals 8 bands worth hearing in a group of 60 and the bad bands being bands you know are bad and hate makes it an awful list. Bonnaroo sucks. Go Coachella. Which Bonnaroos have you been to?
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 08:41 PM) terrible lineup. Will skip again. WOoo yay GOV"T MULE ALRIGHT! How can you say it's horrible? There's something for practically every taste in music. And Gov't Mule is like 16th on the list. Please skip, your negative attitude would not fit in.
  12. Bonnaroo line up has been announced. It's pretty diverse this year. I haven't decided if I'm going yet.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 11:37 AM) The wife and I saw Revolutionary Road on Friday. It was basically 2.5 hours of why marriage is bad, and the rumors that Winslet gets nekkid were unfounded. There really was no purpose to watch this movie. I didn't hate it, but I didn't feel like I'd been to see a movie afterwards. Also, I can see why the performances of the main characters did not warrant nomination. A lot of the arguments really seemed forced and contrived. The only guy nominated (supporting actor, crazy guy) had like 10 minutes of screen time. Meh. What, you haven't heard of Mr. Skin?
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) This post is so incredibly inaccurate. Smoking a joint does not equal ripping a bong. Who gives a f***? The people that say marijuana is illegal? "Breath of fresh air"? From a bong....really? Really? Out of curiosity, what do you see as the difference?
  15. I believe, although it may vary by state, that if you pay a bit more and take a driving class, the tickets do not show on your record.
  16. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 31, 2009 -> 05:13 PM) Id say Copper Dragon is a much larger music venue. I saw OAR and Digital Underground there lol. Yeah, and Copper Dragon has about 5 shows a month, which is why I don't consider it a real music venue.
  17. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 02:15 PM) Brad Cole is such a cocksucker, this town has been shut down for like 5 days now. I dont like Hangar at all so it's no loss to me, it is better than Stix though. You talk so much about music and seeing live bands and you don't like the Hangar at all? It's the best, actually the only real music venue in town. Where do you go to hear live music in Carbondale?
  18. So if Lillibridge is leading off, what position would he be playing?
  19. Hangar 9's roof collapsed under the weight of snow and ice. According to owner Sally, "We will be back".
  20. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 07:59 AM) It's my first spring training living in Arizona. I have never been to Spring Training before and I was curious as to how difficult it is to buy tickets day of game at the park. How often do games sell out? Thanks. If the Sox home games are sold out, don't forget you can also go to games at other teams' stadiums. If you have a car none of them should be too long of a trip, since I'm pretty sure everyone in the cactus league is now in the Phoenix area.
  21. QUOTE (forrestg @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) we have viciedo may be able to play a decent outfield positionand flowers/ Viciedo could als be first baseman/designated hitter types. 2010 will find 3 expiring contracts of Dye and Thome and Konerko. Thome is signed thru 2009, Konerko thru 2010, and Dye has a mutual option for 2010. According to Kalapse's sheet.
  22. I wish nothing but the best for Juan.
