  1. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 6, 2009 -> 10:42 AM) And the legend of Carlos "Gaussian" Quentin is born. Way to name drop an Enlightenment Age mathematician.
  2. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 5, 2009 -> 08:02 PM) Way to name drop an ancient Greek mathematician. Well, I am glad you appreciated it.
  3. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 5, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Not really NFL related except for Tom Brady, but his second marraige to Gisele Bundchen had some interesting happenings, including paparrazzi getting shot at Yeah, well, you can't really blame them. Those two have to be able to put food on the table. I mean between the two of them they only bring in $87 million dollars a year.
  4. QUOTE (forrestg @ Apr 5, 2009 -> 05:42 PM) 17 is a prime number. Did you use the Sieve of Eratosthenes to determine that?
  5. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 11:06 PM) Yes he is. OMG, I'm having MBINAA flashbacks.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Who won the Scott Podsednik and Luiz Vizcaino for Carlos Lee trade? I'm not sure how that is relevent. I don't believe there is always a winner and a loser in a trade. I guess I don't look at a trade as a competition, but as a mutual agreement. If I had to pick, I guess I'd say the Sox because they won the World Series, but if there was a winner of that trade, it certainly was not determined the day after the trade went down.
  7. Why does one team have to win a trade? It seems to me that the Bears got something they haven't had in my life time and the Broncos recieved good compensation for it. It's way to early to decide if it was a good trade, but both teams appear to have improved their positions.
  8. Wow, listening to Trent Dilfer, you'd think the Broncos not only made a haul witt the draft picks, but acquired the better QB as well.
  9. Does a first pitch really excite anybody? It seems like the only thing more meaningless is politicians with shovels at a ground breaking ceremony.
  10. Does Pace really have 3 years left in him?
  11. Wow, seems like a lot to give, but I gotta like it for now.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) The toughest part of the game for Mickey Mantle was the bottom of the fifth.
  13. To everybody who said they want to see Alaska, I highly recommend it. I spent two weeks there last year. Flew into Anchorage and hitchhiked around the Kenai Penninsula. We got there on the first day of summer so it never really got dark. We hiked on a glacier, kayaked in the ocean where we see whales surfacing, watched salmon spawn, had bald eagles fly right over my head, saw moose walking right through town, encounterd 4 bears in the wild including a grizzly from about 25' away. Oh my god, it was incredible, writing about it makes me want to get back there as soon as possible. I'm not sure how much I would like the winters, but the summer was amazing and I only saw a small part of the state.
  14. I don't want to spoil the mood around here, but Buehrle had a good start today.

  18. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 01:45 AM) There's got to be more interest in this... Sounds like lots of fun. I'd love to play but I don't have a Nintendo.

  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 07:14 PM) Gammons says the rumor is Boras wants $50 million for him and will send him to Japan if he doesn't get it. The draft must be slotted. Sayonara.
