  1. It will never happen. Both fanbases would be upset as it means at least one of Dunning/Kopech is assuredly gone and the Indians are only a game apart. With that stated, I would try to get Plesac included as well (clearly they both enjoy Chicago) since we honestly need two starters. Now the Indians might be doing this trade in part, because they are trying to open a spot for Plesac.
  2. I knew the Astros players would fall back to earth, but jesus christ - Jose Altuve is utter garbage this year. George Springer has worse numbers (but still a contributor) and Carlos Correa looks overrated. ?
  3. He's the best player in baseball and we gave him away for James Shields. UGH
  4. I think it's crazy that we're advocating for so easily giving away players like Kopech who has such a live arm. I want to see what he looks like as he has legit ace potential. Dunning, same deal. In the right deal, no one's untouchable, but Lance Lynn, Dylan Bundy and those types don't do much for me.
  5. Correct. Unless a DeGrom, Cole type pitcher becomes available, I don't see it being worth it. And I want a chip more than most.
  6. Ok, I walk back what I said. If Yelich is in there, I would do that trade With that stated, I don't see the Sox taking on all of that money.
  7. I would not trade Kopech at all. He has top tier pitcher stuff. Bundy would be really interesting, especially with Cooper.
  8. Hayes is definitely nice. I think this draft has a bunch of nice players, but no one worth trading the farm for. I think LaMelo has the highest ceiling and guys like him are magnets for other stars if they pan out.
  9. Deni is like a Toni Kukoc/Hedo Turkoglu like player. Horrible FT shooter though. If you're expecting Luka, you're going to be sorely disappointed just like when people thought Mirotic would be Dirk. Ball is super creative offensively. He's definitely better than his brother. He does need to be coached up however. His "bad" shooting has more to do with shot selection than actually being a bad shooter. I don't think AK would mind his dad, he just would shut him up, similar to how the Pelicans have kept LaVar quiet. Bulls absolutely should not trade LaVine for anyone in this draft. If LaVine was back at UCLA, he would be the #1 pick in this draft. I would be okay if you trade any other pieces to get GSW's pick, but chances are, they wouldn't do it unless it was multiple pieces - such as Lauri & Wendell. Which again, to me, would not be worth it (not both).
  10. Mazara should've never been given a chance. EE yes, but father time catches up with everyone. I really wish they would've made the Joc trade. With that stated, I think you play Engel and mix in Grandal more at 1B/DH so McCann can play as well.
  11. I agree. This team is having fun. It is the exact environment that Puig would thrive in. As your 6th hitter, you could do a lot worse.
  12. I would keep him to be honest. Grandal is the type of guy who needs to DH and play 1B (been this way since he's been with the Dodgers). Let go of the Nomar and EE projects.
  13. I would love to go, but I'm not risking it having two kids. I really want to see Kopech, Robert and Yoan. It's not smart though people. Until there's a vaccine, it will never be smart. Look at Texas and Florida.
  14. Funniest thing, they have proven they can’t build without a 300 million commitment either.
  15. I don't blame you. I've done the same with the Bulls and with moving out to LA, I've followed the Dodgers as an NL team. The Dodgers are what the Sox want to be. Don't depend on Uber talent, but flexibility and identifying talent and tweaking it to be successful. Even then, they spend. In order for the Sox to be successful, to sustain success, they will have to spend. To not want to spend 300 mil on a 26 year old stud who would sign with you since the Yankees and Red Sox are out, is one move that screams cheap. "Oh oh but we tried."
  16. Problem is the Sox simply are not attractive. If they always planned to hit big in this years FA, they should've planned on teaming up Harper and Machado - especially with the asking price so cheap
  17. Those who dismiss some sources are as bad as those who dismiss all sources or those who believe all sources. As someone who has a lot of inside knowledge of the Bulls, I can tell you sources will give you highly volatile info, false info or true info that's literally breaking at the seams. Long story short, believe what you want, who you want. Don't piss and moan at others for their opinions on sources.
  18. Ron Mercer signed with the Bulls. He was traded with Artest and Miller for Jalen Rose and Travis Best. Eddy Curry was actually looking good his last year I'm Chicago until he had the heart problems. He was traded for a 1st and some ok vets. It was the right move. Trading Chandler for cap space was stupid, compounded by the fact that he looked like an all star immediately after he left. Jamal Crawford was also traded by Pax to NY as Hinrich was chosen over him. Either which way, I'm apathetic to this franchise with a FO that is ignorant, tone deaf or flat our doesn't care.
  19. Can someone give a recap of what happened?
  20. Could the Sox do it? Do they have holes? Do these guys check all boxes? Are they everyday players? Then to me, then answer is, you go all out to sign both
  21. Sounds like they know certain people are leaking certain things...
  22. Not a fan of Finn myself. Cool entrance, and that's about it.
  23. Cake gave you the runs huh?
