The "2008" White Sox Lineup?
When did the Sox develop a farm and when did the Steinbrenner's buy the White Sox?

Crede will be dealt
Good thinking we're keeping his older brother Joe.

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Nov 14, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) Chris Singleton committed to the Noles today. It rounds out one of the best recruiting classes for basketball ever at FSU. (I know FSU was close to #1 in 2003, but I think this class is better). We got: Xavier Gibson 4* PF, 43 overall Chris Singleton 4* SF, 33 overall Deividas Dulkys 4* SG, 65 overall Luke Loucks 4* PG 78 overall Pierre Jordan 3* PG According to Rivals that is the 10th ranked class in the country. Hopefully we can pull in Derwin Kitchen in the Spring signing period. We're going to need guards next year. Von Wafer alone > any of those players. He was just stupid and got really poor advice to leave early.

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 16, 2007 -> 11:26 AM) Yuck. That's not something you ever want to hear. Memphis can offer something that UNC won't. Money!!1! Though perhaps that shouldn't be in green.

Erin Andrews and it isn't close at all.

Torii Hunter
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 15, 2007 -> 02:03 AM) He's awful in left, he has an excellent arm but at the same time he has the worst instincts I've ever seen, does a little hop when he catches each flyball and has a habit of misplaying most balls hit to him or to either side. A good throwing arm does not a good fielder make. So what if he does a hop? As long as he still catches the ball. He's averaging at fielding the balls, but pretty great at throwing runners out. Hell, Rowand misplays balls but he's thought of as a great defensive CF.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Nov 15, 2007 -> 12:41 AM) is that supposed to be in green? for every 1 assist there are probably 2 maybe 3 balls he takes an awful angle to an ends up a double. Soriano is a dynamic offensive player when he is on... but lets not mistake assists for good defense. He's good in left.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 14, 2007 -> 12:04 PM) Soriano was 31 and Carlos Lee was 30. There isn't a big difference in age there and the one thing that Hunter holds over both of these guys is his perceived ability to play an excellent defensive centerfield (while be a less accomplished hitter than both.) Soriano is a man without a position, terrible no matter where he plays and Carlos Lee is just a league average defensive leftfielder. Soriano is good in left. He at least gets a ton of assists.

Sox Interested in Cabrera
QUOTE(BearSox @ Nov 11, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) also, I'd trade either Danks or Gio, whichever one Florida wantsmore. Probably would take both.

how about a catcher
AJ is a great defensive catcher, but has a terrible arm. There's not that many guys who have great arms behind the plate that don't suck at everything else that are readily available. I just hope he cuts down big time on his K's and starts hitting for contact again.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Nov 10, 2007 -> 05:32 PM) After all the times OSU has been a thorn in our side and stuck it to us, it's nice to have this big of a payback game. I am so proud of this team, everyone contributed and worked for a full 60 minutes. Did all the types of things you need to do to win this big of a game, and win on the road. Excellent stuff. My how far this program has come. I L L I N I Juice will get all the pub, but their defense was ferocious today as well.

Illinois ran out the last 8:28 on the clock. It was Juice's decision to go for it on 4th down at the 7th minute mark.

Sox Interested in Cabrera
QUOTE(BearSox @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 10:01 AM) That'd be stupid. He's probably their best hitter now that ARod is gone. Eh, I'd disagree. Jeter is much better though he doesn't hit for as much power.

Sox Interested in Cabrera
QUOTE(rockren @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 02:17 AM) The fact that he states that the Red Sox and Yankees are interested totally discredits this report. The Yanks have come out and said they won't deal multiple young arms for Miggy. Boston is trying to re-sign Lowell. I totally believe the Dodgers/Angels interest, but this all sounds like pure speculation on Rosenthal's part. No, they just stated they won't deal Joba for sure. I could see the Yankees eventually parting with Ian Kennedy to get a Miguel Cabrera, especially for what ARod is demanding.

Looks like we could kill that noise: per Ken Rosenthal

Shannon Stewart in LF wouldn't be so bad.
-
Uribe Re-signed
Didn't we have until midnight to pick up the option? I rather have waited until the last minute. f***, another year with Uribe.
-
Uribe Re-signed
I still have a feeling Uribe will still be with us I'd love to have Jack Wilson though. Unlike Uribe, he doesn't let his offensive struggles get to him defensively as much.

QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 13, 2007 -> 01:36 PM) that's how they've won 5 games. That's their offense. I thought you were a Badgers fan? Anyway, they're at their best when they throw vertically. Well until that happened.
