Miguel Tejada?
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) Why in the world would anyone want him here? Why not? I don't understand why some people here don't like him.

A hypthetical if...
Well anyone have any guesses on what Baltimore would want?

Garnett to Boston?
I see the Celtics finishing #3 in the Eastern Conference. Offensively, they should be fine, especially with the big 3 on the court. Defensively, they're in trouble. I think a team like the Bulls will match up very favorably against them, but a team like the Heat wouldn't.

Warrick Holdman injured
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 11:54 PM) I always liked him as a Bear, the trio of Holdman, Urlacher, and Colvin is arguably better than the trio we have now.. I disagree. Holdman definitely was better than Hillenmeyer, but Colvin was just good as a pass rusher really. Lance Briggs is a complete LB IMO.

Good cologne?
Well different things smell differently on different people. What smells great for one person may not smell great on the other. Look for colognes that have jasmine, vanilla, and/or cinnamon.

It's Official: We Are Now Tied for Last Place in the Central
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 05:31 PM) I'll take 95 losses and a top 5 pick over a 84 losses and a mid first round pick. But hey, that's just me. As would I, but the thing that scares me is the drafting philosophy of KW & Co. and the non-dealing with Boras clients. This year would've been a great year to deal with him when it came to the draft.

As if Rowand Lee and Ordonez in the All-star game wasnt bad enough
Don't think I voted in that thread or ever saw it. I've been a Willie supporter and still don't know he did in the clubhouse to this day that some people refer to around here.

Willie was greatness. Lee was understandable to let go. I still think if Ozzie let Brian play with full confidence, he would be able to replicate Aaron. As far as Damaso, I'm going to blame Ozzie for fkn that guy up. He was dominant before OG came around.

Expect Mets to seriously pursue Iguchi
QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 11:24 AM) Willie was a good hitter throughout his minor league years, so this comes as no surprise. Means a team like the Braves knows how to put its players in the best position to succeed. Or they at least do a much better job of that than the Sox do. I'm not going to say Willie is a world beater, but if managed correctly, he could be a useful guy.

Video Game Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Jul 14, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) Gah, I'm so torn. I want a ps3, but I dont want it. I'm afraid if I get it all it's going to do is collect dust, like my Wii, until MGS4 comes out. I could wait a month and buy Madden on ps3 along with GTAIV, and basically play Ncaa08 and halo on 360 and madden and gtaiv on ps3. I'm not really sold on Haze yet so that doesn't really excite me. As someone who owns both a 360 and PS3, the 360 is the one collecting dust. Got both at the same time. 360 really doesn't excite me. In fact, if someone robbed me of it, I wouldn't even realize it until maybe years later.

Aaron Rowand
One of the most overrated players in Chicago history IMHO.

White Sox Amateur Scouting Lists...
Apparently there's a list of amateur players that the White Sox scout yearly out there. Anyone know where I could find that list?

Sox interested in Orlando Hudson/Elijah Dukes
I'd love to see Dukes on the team. O-Dog too.

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) They could really set themselves up to be a MAJOR player for the West if they can handle things right this off-season. Garnett would be a major target obviously, but I also think they may make a run at Rashard Lewis. They could also offer Monta Ellis and a future first for Yi (assuming Mo Williams leaves the Bucks). How would a lineup of Davis, Jackson, Lewis, Al Harrington and Biedrins with Yi, Beldrelli, Matt Barnes on the bench etc. look? Pretty dangerous. Also if you're looking to acquire a big on the cheap, go after Patrick O' Bryant. He's got no future whatsoever with the Warriors while Don Nelson is there, and he could be had cheaply. The Warriors could need a backup PG such as Chris Duhon if Ellis was traded for Yi, so you could maybe try to work a Duhon for O'Bryant deal with other pieces included. And how do Portland look right now? They're going to buy out Stevie Franchise (oh how the mighty have fallen), Darius Miles will probably retire, and they're loaded at a lot of positions, especially at the PG with Jack, Sergio Rodriguez and Petteri Koponen (I think that's his name?). Add in Brandon Roy, Martrell Webster and Rudy Fernandez at the swingman spots, with Aldridge and Oden down low, man oh man are they loaded. Duhon wouldn't get any burn with the Warriors since he can't shoot and that goes against Chris Mullin's philosophy.

Buehrle Fest
Haven't followed this thread much, but I heard that the Dodgers will be looking at him now since negotiations have broken down. I must say, even though I'm not a huge fan of Mark, the fact that a NTC is the sticking point if pretty fkn stupid IMHO.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) Did anyone else laugh when at tonight's draft Julian Wright answered a question about picking KU over Illinois with "To Do What's Best for My Family"? Lol. He really didn't like Illinois at all.

He'll be good for selling jerseys for his first few years, then selling cars in Neveda like Ed Obanon.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 03:42 PM) Ron Schueler built a "strong" farm system? Not sure I agree with that, especially with regard to pitching. Maggs and Lee turned out ok.
