QUOTE(rangercal @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) LOL No offense, but even with the highest upgrades, Mvp will not have the same strong following as they had in the past. Especially considering there's no UIC which made the Sweet 16 IIRC last year.

QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) I honestly can't wait for this. Literally. I'm taping all the games as they replay them on Comcast. But the damn TV guide is a crappy one and I turned on teh TV an hour late, didn't get AJ's Homer in the first on tape, which u have to admit, was almost the most exciting moment in the playoffs. It was like "YES! Sox are gonna do it this time!" Maybe I'll wait for this after all. At least you can record something.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) Do you think Paul kept the ball like Doug Mietkewicz? Nope, he threw it to the mound.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 07:34 AM) Depends, are you talking CDs or DVDs? CD's.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) But at least Crede is consistently medicore. Blalock is one of the worst players in the league on the road and solid at home. But thats assuming that those numbers will translate here. Which you can't assume. It is a known quantity what he will do on the road. You can't expect him to keep up at the pace that he did at Arlington. He might, but it is not a gaurentee. Creede is mediocre at home and away. Though at the end of last year it was obvious he was taking stpes in the right direction. Blalock on the other hand just sucked all around. I stated this argument. Everyone wanted no part of the home/away splits or the Special batting stats. They were the same player offensively last year. Joe even had a higher OPS.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) No way could they fit 12 games onto 7 dvds... especially considering one of the games was basically two. I highly doubt they will have all full games in their entirety besides the World Series games and perhaps Game 5 of the ALCS. The tile of the box set is "White Sox World Series" not "Playoffs" They could do it if they used Dual-Discs.

Overrated.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) LOL, why the f*** did Vick go down? Because they don't like Vick running and are trying to change his strength. I think that's dumb. He's electric and almost unstoppable when you let him run. Honestly, I give him around 15 passing plays and let him do what he does.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) i recorded it on computer, but it would take a decade to upload a three hour game How much would you charge if I asked you to make me a copy?

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) the Grossman pick wasn't really a bad pass, just a great defensive play IMO. Actually it was. He stared down Moose the whole way. He does look better than Orton though. I imagine the post count skyrocketed once Grossman was put in. I need the Falcons to lose this game so my Cowboys still have a chance. Muhammed has dropped 2 balls in this game.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Watching Game 1 here on Comcast HD. However, they are not showing the HD coverage. What the? That's crap. I wonder if this will just be the ESPN games. Anyone have a clue? Who knows? It might be all games simply because it would cost tons of cash to buy the HD rights I'm assuming. BTW, if anyone is recording Game 1 on the computer, would you please be so kind to upload it or put it on torrent?

f***. Jose Contreras has returned back to pre-allstar game form. Trade'em in the offseason.

Okay, we have some knowledgeable guys on here. As many know, the White Sox will begin showing all the playoff games tommorow. I have a TV Tuner card and all, but I have no program to record tv. I don't want to get a whole new OS(Windows XP Media Edition). I want to get something that will get the job done. Any help would be appreciated. Don't suggest GigaPocket either. It came with my computer and it doesn't record or show anything except when I'm programming the channel lineup.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Memorex is crap. I wouldn't use it for anything other than backing up pictures or mp3 files. Anything I wanted to play in a DVD player or CD player I would never put on a Memorex disc. Usually made by CMC Magnetics which is a crap company. Is Imation any good? I have 200 of those.

Well I have the 9th inning highlights replay of the "AJ Game". I watch it at least once a week. I want to record games onto my computer(that Comcast is showing) but I don't have a program that records. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would like to see Gil Meche and him work with Coop out of the bullpen.

Buy them both.

Who do you want to claim the last bench spot?

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 04:58 AM) That's definitely a big part of it. For all the crap everybody gave Eddy, the one thing he did do was take up space with that big body of his. Not having Antonio Davis obviously hurts as well. I think that's a big part that everyone underestimated with Eddy. That coped with Skiles not adjusting his coaching to the personell he has. Big example of this is Ben Gordon. He's trying to make him a spotup shooter when he's best when yout put the ball in his hands and let him create for himself off of the pick and roll or let him drive on ISO's. Look at how Calhoun coached him and look how Skiles coaches him. Gordon will never be the player he can be under Skiles, ever. Also, Skiles' rotations are still jacked. He says Luol played alright last night. Well I think he did pretty damn good considering he only played 20 minutes in the game. Skiles has the Tim Floyd syndrome in which he treats this like college. He'll bench you for long periods of time if you make a single mistake.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) Curious as to what type of media you guys use: For me, I just stick to TY (Taiyo Yuden) and Verbatim for top quality burns. I haven't seen TY anywhere, then again I haven't looked for it. Memorex doesn't work so well on my DVD players(Magnavox and a Samsung) so I use Sony and they work great. Two things Sony isn't overrated in: Computers & Blank CD's/DVD's. I use Memorex for blank cd's, however, since they're usually cheaper and great quality.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) I was saying that sure he isn't a pro coach but everyone would've struggled with that team. They would've struggled, but they at least would've help their players improve. Floyd is not a coach who does that.

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) People know that I have a source that works with the team, and him and Young are the future of that organization. I don't know about that. Young has said as soon as his 6 years are up, he's gone.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) So then Beane would have 7 starters, 2 of which he needs to flip (zito and Garland) and then he'd lack a number one bat in the lineup? I don't buy it Do you imagine what Beane could do with Garland and Zito? Hell, he'll be able to flip both of them to Texas for Mark Texieria.

QUOTE(NCsoxfan @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) Eric Chavez I have no source to confirm that Williams is targeting Chavez, but many of you will remember back in June/July that KW was targeting him. A package of Garland and Crede for Chavez would be acceptable to me, but my guess is that Beane would want McCarth/Crede for Chavez, given his propensity for young and cheap starters. Now the question is, would Chavez bring added value to our club? I dont know, but it has always been apparent that KW has loved him. Was your source me? Chaveztalk.com - IT HAS RETURNED!

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) No disagreement there. Wood is in that class with Delmon Young and pretty much no one else. Here's a legitimate question, and mind you it loses some steam as the Rays won't be able to sign Garland to an extension, but how about BJ Upton for Garland. They are yo-yo-ing Upton around as they have concerns with his erratic D. Just a thought. Another possible match is with Scott Kazmir. This is more realistic. Kazmir was offered for Alfonso Soriano (who is in the identical boat as Garland in terms of contract and resignability). It wouldn't really solve the glut of starting pitchers but would give us a guy we can control for a long time I would look at Upton. His potential is up there big time and at the very least, you could flip him.
