  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) Who is going for the Red Sox against Contreras? Clement proably considering he'll be pitching on normal's day rest and he's been their "ace" pitcher this year.
  2. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) has it been confirmed we are the 3 pm game yet? We probably are. BSPN & Fox want its precious Yanks on primetime. That's okay with me as long as Wednesday's game isn't at 3.
  3. If you want him to pitch the 3rd game, then he gets pulled now. I doubt it though as I think Wakefield has been better than Schilling.
  4. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) Red Sox = no pitching Angels = good pitching and good hitting I dont want the Angels at all.. Actually the Angels' hitting has been as crappy as ours.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) I think there's a chance of that but they could also move schill up to game 3 cause of the day off on thursday. I don't think they will move Schilling up. He hasn't been good his past couple of starts and he would be pitching on 4 days rest. An old man like that who has been injury riddled this year should pitch on normal rest.
  6. 99 has become a reality for the Chicago White Sox!!!!!
  7. Like I said earlier, this will probably be their rotation: Clement Wells Wakefield Schilling
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) ignoring the fact Fullmer is out for the year... Exactly. He's really only out there to start a blood war with an Indians player. We haven't had excitement like that in some time. He's purely entertainment.
  9. My lineup: Call up Roosevelt Brown, Brad Fullmer, Greg Norton, and Jamie Burke. Have BMac go 3 innings and bring in have a called up Felix Diaz finish off the game(even if it goes 30 innings). Play the guys who actually will make the playoff roster in different positions just in case we need an emergency backup somewhere, they'll have experience. Check it out: Lineup: SS-Timo Perez 2B-Jamie Burke C-Willie Harris 3B-Roosevelt Brown CF-Greg Norton RF-Joe Borchard DH-Brian Anderson 1B-Brad Fullmer LF-Geoff Blum Tons of pop in our bats. I'm sure we'll eclipse 200 HR's tommorow
  10. Fickity f***. I don't like that schedule. I rather have our team playing night games. Hell, our crowd might now show up considering most of us actually work and go to school.
  11. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) I agree, on the other hand-doesn't it give the one game playoff team significant momentum? I think if the Red Sox were to fail to win tomorrow and still make the playoffs they would go in on a real down note. I don't know about that. Look at the 98 Cubs. It seems teams that get in that way are just happy knowing they got in the playoffs. Anyway, chances are if we face Boston that we would face Clement in the first game. That's a very winnable game.
  12. As the great Nuke would say, EAT CHIT BISHES!
  13. It doesn't matter if we lose today. I just want to get guys fresh for the playoffs and sharp and get some time in for them.
  14. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Boston just sent Tadahito Iguchi some chowder flavored sushi sent to his house.... i think. According to Ozzie, it's "su-chee"
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) The only thing he stopped this year is our winning streaks Well before he was injured the 1st time, he was our stopper. A good example of that was the series finale against TB early in the year when we dropped the first 2.
  16. Hopefully they give El Duque a chance still. I would also like to see him in the postseason. I mean, that's the whole reason we got him. El Duque has proven to be a stopper in the playoffs throughout his career.
  17. Heads, you combined with the Rally Crede = unstoppable.
  18. Cotts? Don't use him. Give someone else a shot Oz. Let's not tire everyone out.
  19. This is why I like the Marlins. That's actually a very good overall site. I was there last year when they played games in our ballpark.
  20. IIRC I think he is back in our farm system.
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) Widger...Blum...and Harris up for us in the 10th. Yeah.................... Blum goes yard, I'm calling it.
  22. Guys calm down. We didn't even have our B lineup out there. It was more like D. I rather have Damaso get practice in now so if he's struggling, maybe Ozzie would be reluctant to go to him. We already clinched guys, so no worries. We'll get this in extra inning with the Widgenator.
