  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) SC's just getting their offense in gear the last few drives of the half...they'll get em. Last time USC and Oregon played, Oregon took an early lead, then Palmer led USC to 30 unanswered points. Yeah, I honestly don't think Oregon is going to hold on.
  2. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) This is the last WGN game at home of the season.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) You'd lose more seats, and they'd have to figure out where to move the bullpens to. That'd be an impossible move. That too. We won't be moving the bullpens to foul territory(I doubt there's enough space for that) and major cash would be lost. And our offense depends on the longball(though most of the team is not very good at hitting for them). Basically, you're trying to take away the one thing we do consistantly on offense and hit the longball.
  4. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) McCarthy should not be in the playoff rotation. Yeah he has pitched well but he is a ROOKIE. Bullpen. Also i can't believe you are seriously saying McCarthy over Buehrle and Garland. Buehrle hasn't proven that he can handle hot teams/high pressure situations in the regular season. In fact, he's proven the opposite. McCarthy has at least pitched good under pressure. I'd start McCarthy over him in the playoffs. Remember, Prior started Game 2 in the playoffs in 2003 and that was only his 2nd year as a pro. Buehrle does not deserve to start over Garland, Count, or BMac. That's flat out truth.
  5. Pods looks horrible out there. Get Ozuna to play defense. At least Ozuna goes all out.
  6. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) so you really think our offense will be much improved next year.. Move em back it was stupid to move em in The team isn't going to spend it's time and money tinkering with the ballpark. As far as I know, the last thing they're doing is changing the blue seats to green. That's it. We are going to need to have a better offense or at least play like we did earlier in the year. Moving the fences is not an option.
  7. Ownership isn't going to pay for the money to move the fences back. They already had payed money for them to be pulled in a couple of years ago. Just because we have an anemic offense doesn't mean the fences is the problem. It's our offense that is.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) BTW, weren't the Cubs officially eliminated today from the playoffs? It's the Cubs, they were eliminated back in May.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Yeah. I watched up to that point. Then I just went to sleep. Woke up and found out we lost by 8. Good thing you didn't waste cash going to that game like I did.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) I am as big of a Brandon McCarthy fan as exsists, but do you all seriously want to put a guy with 7 or 8 career starts as a #2 playoff starter??? Wow. Sadly, it's gotten to that point.
  11. I think this team will do well. Williams is a pass-first PG despite what many people claim. He wanted to play with Shaq and Wade. He's good friends with Shaq and he knows what he's getting himself into. Walker also knows what he got himself into. He knows he's going to be the 3rd option with a lot of free shots. He'll also play point foward for them. Wade is a very unselfish player. That and the rest of the team knows that the ball goes through Wade and Shaq when need be. So far, all I've heard is that everyone they brought in know they are second to those two players. They know their roles on their team. The problem with the Lakers was all the turmoil that they had combined with the fact that they had no bench. George was injured for most of the time and when he came back, he stunk. Medvedenko should not be the 2nd guy off your bench right next to Derek Fisher. The rest of the guys were basically garbage. I honestly see the Heat beating the Spurs in the Finals this year in 6.
  12. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) If Gordon starts at SG and plays for close to 30 minutes a night, you can just go ahead and put these SGs down for 25 to 30 points every time we play against them: Michael Redd Rip Hamilton Larry Hughes Dwyane Wade Vince Carter Jamal Crawford (wack player who would tear Gordon to shreds) Paul Pierce Tracy McGrady Jerry Stackhouse Jason Richardson Kobe Bryant Ray Allen Manu Ginobli s***, even these guys could probably put up 20 to 25 vs Gordon: Stephen Jackson Mike Miller Josh Childress J.R. Smith Is Joe Johnson gonna play some 2 in Atlanta? And I'm sure that I'm forgetting a player or two. Duhon and Hinrich make up a solid defensive backcourt. I wouldn't tinker with it. Gordon, in a championship sense, has ZERO WORTH. He'll hurt you a hell of a lot more than he'll help, despite the scoring potential. I want him outta here ASAP. f*** an "exciting" player if he can't play defense worth a s***. If this is what people want, have fun watching the Pacers and Pistons whoop us over the next three to four years. Exactly. Gordon was bulked up last year too, but he needs to learn defensive positioning, and he has to learn something that can't be learned, and that's height. Gordon would get burned big time. Joe Johnson is starting at 2 for Atlanta. I agree with you on Gordon. I mean, it would be a different story if he scored over the whole game as opposed to just the 4th quarter. Right now, Duhon should continue to start over him. He plays defense and his jumpshot(which is his only real knock) is getting better and better. I'd take Iguodala over Gordon. Oh well. I still like Gordon, but right now, he's a luxury type player(someone who really only plays in the 4th).
  13. Deploderer, could you link me back to the Crede sig you made for me a while back?
  14. Garcia will pitch up to his competition. If we're scoring lots of runs, he'll allow lots of runs. If it's a tight game, he might pitch a no-hitter into the 9th.
  15. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) Who's pitching tommorow for the Sox against Millwood? On the postgame they said Garcia. I thought we were skipping him though.
  16. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) How many wins do you guys think it will take to win this division with the Tribe's easy ass schedule?? 97,98? 99
  17. We need to get Bobby Jenks into the playoffs. I wanna see Joe Buck's reaction on a Bobby Jenks fastball.
  18. Jenks comes in. Thank you lord.
  19. 2 down, exact same play.
  20. f***, it's Damaso we're seeing.
  21. Please don't bring in Damaso. Please win.
  22. And JD gets thrown out and 2nd. Inning killer.
  23. OMG, ERROR. LEADING RUN. OMFG
