  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 2, 2014 -> 10:43 AM) Ehh not really. They don't really have any weapons. And Newton isn't the same player right now. He's really banged up. Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen are decent weapons.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 30, 2014 -> 02:55 PM) Seems like they should have elaborated on that. Apparently Windows 8.1 = 9. That's fine with me. 8 honestly is not bad, but the damage was done. I don't know why more people don't understand, Microsoft does a developmental product every other year. Windows ME - Developmental Windows XP - Final Windows Vista - Developmental Windows 7 - Final Windows 8 - Developmental Windows 10 - Final If you notice, all their developmental's turn out to be great final builds once the last SPs (before the new OS is announced) are released. Happens the same with their servers and essentially any one of their software products like Exchange, Office, etc. 8.1, especially on the Surface 3 is the bees knees
  3. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 29, 2014 -> 03:56 PM) The front office has already endorsed Ventura. He's not going anywhere.
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 29, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) That team looked great in the preseason but McCoy has been absolutely brutal and Rodgers and Lacy arent gonna play the Bears every week. Vernon Davis also has been a nightmare this season. Vernon also got injured yesterday.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 29, 2014 -> 03:15 PM) For how highly thought of Dave Martinez has become as the Rays bench coach, he sure hasn't been able to find an opportunity. Maybe it's premature to say, but it seems like teams aren't willing to hand the keys over to him. I'm hoping for a Dave Martinez actually. He strikes me as one of those guys that just needs a shot somewhere.
  6. I wonder if Hahn will fire Ventura or if he will step down. I'm kind of hoping for it actually. I'd love to see Dusty(save me the pitch count garbo), or Leyland.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 21, 2014 -> 02:12 PM) Ugh. Why is Richardson getting these garbage time carries. Bradshaw Bradshaw Again, this is why I draft RBs last. Because you're going to find at least 3 guys who come out of nowhere and produce. 3 guys who aren't on anyone's team. I already picked up Ahmad Bradshaw in my main league as well as TWest.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 21, 2014 -> 11:48 AM) I'd go De Sean Jackson, revenge game factor is huge for him. Plus, Welker is supposed to play limited snaps, mostly 3rd downs I went with DeSean because of revenge game factor and because Philly has a horrid defense.
  9. Hmm desean Jackson or Wes weaker this week?
  10. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 15, 2014 -> 12:31 AM) I searched the Google PlayStore, but found nothing. Is this something I have to root my phone to use? And do both Show Box and MovieDroid have Chromecast support? No root needed. You have to go to developer settings for your phone and turn on the ability to "Uninstall unknown apps/apps not from play store". Then from your phone, google showbox and you should find it. They have every tv show and movie known to man. If you want to cast it to your ChromeCast(which I do), just use Avia or Allcast (both legal apps on playstore). Go into showbox, select your movie, uncheck use internal player, click the quality, and you'll get a popup asking what movie player you want to use. Choose Allcast or Avia. From there, casting will be done to your chromecast of choice. I find I'm also able to use my PS3 and WDTV without modifying either one. Kinda weird. It sounds a lot harder than it actually is. Trust me, takes about 5 minutes to setup and less than 30 seconds to startup a movie.
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 15, 2014 -> 11:35 AM) "Marked by sameness and a lack of originality; mass-produced." Perfectly fits that. It doesn't have to be a true circle to be cookie-cutter, if that's your argument. Color scheme was boring? The entire park was boring. Agreed. They made some great improvements to it and it looks great except it points the wrong way.
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 09:11 PM) Bears need to return the favor on CK. They're never going to be able to square him up. Honestly, if Urlacher came back now, he'd probably be no worse than their 2nd best defender.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 09:04 PM) Because they are not exactly biting on the short routes. Yes, but you're receivers are bigger than their secondary. You throw slant routes and the Bears WRs can block them off. You make a double move. Hitch and go. Seriously, there's slow guys in the league, short guys in the league and they use their skills to their advantage. Throw jump balls. BTW, that was a great catch.
  14. Wow, Cutler going with the Grossman offense. Can't say I'm not entertained. He took a hit though.
  15. Injured Marshall had to come all the way back and take the unnecessary hit. This offense is laughable at this point. I do think the Bears would be better off benching Alshon and Brandon and tell Cutler, he has to trust someone else. As I say that, another overthrow. You can tell Alshon is hurting. All they need to do is slant routes to take advantage of their size and lack of speed.

  17. I prefer the Chromecast to Roku as well and I was huge on the Chromecast. Heck, even my girlfriend's family who are the least technological people I know wanted a few for Christmas because it is so easy to use. Roku still has more apps, but that will change soon. WatchESPN + Showbox + Chromecast = Best device ever.
  18. Conte with 2 INTs so far on the year. Cutler overthrew twice so far this game. Problem with the Bears offense when they don't keep going vertical is what you just saw - Forte gets no room to operate.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 08:31 PM) No discipline in special teams And now you know why Joe DiCamillis was no big loss for the Cowboys. He was always terribly overrated.
  20. Bad call. Thing is, this Bears offense is a fraud seemingly. Rodgers has guys in and out and he still gets the system going. Flynn even made the offense look good. The Bears? Nope. 2 straight weeks when they were supposed to have a high powered offense and it looks like it's powered by a lawn mower. The defense, well you already know they suck. Their line still looks terrible despite having different players. I just don't see any hope for this team.
  21. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 04:06 PM) Just an fyi, there's a decent amount of evidence that the White Sox are the more popular team in the city and Cook Co. Take a look at those fan maps going off Facebook liked and s***. There's of course no doubt Sox Nation is tiny compared to Cubs Nation and that the greater Metro area (a majority of which resides outside Cook County) is Cubs dominated except for Northwest Indiana. So if you have a team that could very well have a superior following to the Chicago freaking Cubs in your immediate environs you don't bolt. You also look at how America is urbanizing and how Bridgeport/Pilsen are increasingly becoming places people want to live... it'd be stupid to leave. The White Sox are already right in the middle of the league in terms of revenue, and they have a lot of growth potential because of their location. I'm guessing a new park in the next 15 years, with talks heating up around the time the US Cellular naming deal runs up. It will still be at 35th and Shields. Disagreed. They got a cookie cutter stadium that was built and is pretty easy to renovate. They just built Bacardi at the Park(whatever they're calling it these days), and the neighborhood is improving(more so, the good areas are slowly expanding). The city also won't let them move, especially considering the Rock Island stop at 35th was built specifically for them. I would personally love them to move along the river just south of Roosevelt and Clark as you can have the skyline, lake and feature the Chicago River which no one has done. Another site I would look at is where they were going to build the Spire just off of the top of my head.
  22. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Sep 11, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) What's the better way to get this phone these days, old school 2 year contract or (ATT NEXT) installment plan? (Right now I'm on month to month basis with ATT). Pros / Cons to each? Which one is cheaper, overall ? Not easy to buy a phone these days Sprint released a plan for single iPhone users. $50 flat rate for unlimited talk, text and data. After that, starting with the big iPhone 6, you pay $20 a month. Every two years, you can trade in your old iPhone for a new one. It's exactly like leasing a car. Not bad though if you consistently want a new phone.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Apple wields a whole hell of a lot of influence over the way they are covered in the tech media From controlling the narrative on their brand, to punishing journalists/organizations who don't cooperate, to pushing stories that make competitors look bad Sounds about right. Throughout this whole ordeal, no one made a big deal about Apple's security. It was pretty much brushed under the rug.
  24. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 7, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) Cutler is a taller Rex Grossman. Lets just all accept it. Never winning with him and an average defense, even with all the talent around him. Also, Tillman you f***ing suck. Conte will get the headline forthat last play, but Tillmam took a terrible angle and let that 5 yard run turn into 40. Tillman looked awful I felt. Jennings looked good. Tillman did take an awful angle on that play, but everyone in Chicago will always blame Conte. The taller Rex Grossman comparison isn't too bad. That makes sense actually. I wonder how it would look if Peyton Manning was running this offense.
  25. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 7, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) The problem with staying vertical is their best vertical threat, Alshon Jeffery, missed the 2nd half. Missing him was huge. Teams could then bracket (A gimpy) Marshall and that just left Forte and Bennett to get the load of targets. Brandon is just as good vertically. And your 3rd string and on WRs are best going vertical. This isn't the same Bears WR core of 2000 when Marty Booker was their best healthy WR.
