  1. Why do we keep missing Milwaukee on the road?

  3. NLCS ... Game 7 Bottom of 9 in Philadelphia Cubs ahead by 2 runs. Ryan Dempster on the mound and walks lead-off man. Tadahito Iguchi doubles off the wall to score lead runner. Dempster walks next batter to create force situation. Aaron Rowand homers off of Dempster to send the Phillies to the WS. Next day's headline: Southside Dagger
  4. I figured they would get something worked out. Either that or they would buy time on an HD network. Kind of like how USA bought time on Universal HD for the Masters.
  5. It was an MLB thing. Seemed kind of dumb. Please, let's not talk about the amount of coverage the Cubs get if they advance. Once the Sox made it to the ALCS, we received plenty of coverage as well as the really dumb news stories. You know the ones where they go to some bakery where they make Cub cupcakes and interview some 175 year old guy who was at the first game at Wrigley.

  7. We keep getting screwed out of playing at Miller Park. I have been looking forward to the trip since we were last there. What is the explanation?
  8. I heard this as well. I love 24, but last season kinda sucked for me. Hopefully Tony will return, although he is a flaming Cub fan. He was behind home plate for the World Series in 2005 for FOX and wore a Cub hat. My wife almost threw something at the screen when she saw it.
  9. Marsha, Marsha, Marsha .... oh yes Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!
  10. Sarah and LJ is a boring tired plot. Acutally, Lincoln is a very boring character. The best people on the show are T-Bag, Mahone and Bellick. Oh no, next week, Sucre shows up to whine about Maracruz.
  11. Watched the first two epsiodes last night. I must say, Lost will be more interesting this year knowing that Penny Widmore gives good hand. Oh and yeah, her naked body is pretty good too.

    Entourage

Ari would never have let the rich Middle-Easter distributor see the movie without signing the deal first.
  13. Once again, the Legend of Aaron Rowand far exceeds the Actual Aaron Rowand. http://bp3.blogger.com/_W6YuhWU3sm8/RnDT3m...h/thelegend.jpg
  14. Amazing what I find interesting and funny. Of course, I also watch Big Brother so I am a moron already.
  15. I am a bit older and went to college in the city and commuted. I do have to say, not going away was probably the biggest mistake I ever made. I missed the whole "college" experience. I went to class, went to work, came home and did the same thing the next day. I am not just talking about the partying and all that. I have done more than my fair share of crazy/stupid partying. There is a maturing and growing experince that I did not have until years later when I moved out of my parents' house. I know the big university out in the corn somewhere isn't for everyone, but you get one shot in your life to have that experience, and I missed it. Oh well, it's many years later and life turned out just fine, just would've like to have done it differently. (Cue Glory Days music)
  16. Ozzie should have used him once during the roadtrip.
  17. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Aug 10, 2007 -> 01:56 PM) yeah, that one! Although the version i was thinking of had someone else singing it. Joe Cocker also sang a version.
  18. Watched the Brewer game last night. They just don't have enough to keep the Cubs down. Saddens me to say it, but the Cubs should be three games up on them in a week. Either way: Go Brew Crew!
  19. Herman's Head was one of my favorite shows. I loved that show. Heddy, the blonde, was Ross' lesbian wife on Friends.
  20. Mack was in studio at the Loop yesterday afternoon. Seems like a good guy. He never really fit in here though. Some guys just don't. Oh well, good luck to him.
  21. You can forget the Friday night thing. Friday is where shows go to die. It will run sometime Mon - Thu, but probably not against AI, which hurt it last year.
  22. Intellivision Baseball was the best: YERRRRR OUUUUTT!!! You had to have Intellivoice for this though.
  23. I think Kenny already has the kid traded for Carl Everett.
  24. On Mike North's morning show, he reported that DJ will be with his wife for an entire week when she has her baby in August, spanning six games. He said Steve Stone will be filling in and working with Hawk for those games.
