Mirotic showcasing at the 5 instead of the 3 was so helpful for his trade value. It's what sets him apart from Lopez. Lopez is a good basketball player but when you look at the contenders, few have a need for a mostly post-up C, even as he's tried to stretch out.

It's not an argument that the bears should forget the draft and only do free agency, but you can go big in FA and not kill yourselves like the saints did when he was there for multiple years.
