Not crazy about Ragone. One thing I likeda bout Defillipo over Nagy was Defillipo had been all over so would have met lots of different coaches. I know that coaches are a tight fraternity so he probably knows a bunch, but I don't know how I'd feel if Nagy comes in with 60% of our staff last year.

Nice thing about the KC offense if it translates is it operated well even when it had very little WR talent. Then they added hill and it exploded.

I think everyone was right to be happy with Soria. I like the general profile and that his fastball didn't disappear. It doesn't matter to me that he wasn't good last year because of the following anecdote: - Matt Albers became one of the worst relievers in my memory before releasing him. He then was an effective and for a while, the best, reliever on a playoff team the next year. What were the signs that would happen? That stuff happens a lot. And the thing is if it fails I don't really care about losing $7 million this year or Jake Peter because clearly he was hugely deprioritized in our system because of his bat wasn't good enough to overcome his lack of defensive versatility.

I am hoping that Robert is actually our fastest baserunner when he gets out there.

Bears hire Nagy. I am okay with it. I liked all of them but was deep in the Fillipo hype machine.

Having read it, that was pretty promising. Notes in there about Collins smoothing out his swing in instructionals and the belief in his bat. Worst note was probably about Rutherford in that he's definitely not a CF. The Robert report was really nice to see. They didn't seem to think the high fastball issue was as big as has been advertised prior.

That's really positive. We have a hell of a top 5, but I feel like the success of this rebuild will really take off by how well we activate our 5-12 prospects.

I agree, I see something like 5th/6th more realistic. You want a 1st rounder for a receiver, they'll need to be on their rookie contract, young, already good, and room to grow.

Interesting. Worries me a bit. While it's nice to see Hansen up there, you know that Sheets, Rutherford and Burger aren't jumping over Cease because of a great year. I'm fine with it though. I think I would probably move back on Cease and ask him to prove it for a year. If our org can get him up in innings and health as successfully as we were with Kopech and Hansen last year, then we'll see him back. I do hope though that it's because they hear positive things on Dunning being more than backend fodder, and something encouraging on Rutherford, Burger and Sheets.

First bulls game I’ve watched start to finish. This offense is really watchable.

I'd probably choose all of the bullpen guys. We really need to go into our good years with solid bullpens, so I'm looking forward to seeing Burr, Veiera and Tyler Johnson, etc compete.

Seeing the staff Gruden put together, that's impressive. The benefit to his media gig the way he set it up (and constantly complimenting everyone on tv) was he probably has more relationships than anyone now. He seems like a nice guy though and I like a lot of raiders so i hope it works out.

Is it just me or did we also get 2 relievers back.

Its one of the players I would just love to know the trade value of in discussions.
