  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:53 PM) And Charlie Tilson guys!!!!!!! Not enough people are talking about Charlie Tilson
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) Mo St SS! That's good but I also saw 1 video of a HS guy and now he's clearly best prospect ever. I forgot his name though.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:42 PM) I'll believe Anderson is a quality major league shortstop until he sucks next season. Dude is going to be fine imo. I think he'll be fine too. But if there's a position I'm fine hoarding it's SS.
  4. We are really weak at SS still. Basically Dickman and Curbelo.
  5. Let's not forget a top 3 pick likely to come
  6. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:22 PM) That's my worry. This scenario is if ALL pan out. I think we have more redundancy than that. They aren't as high profile yet but your Adolfo's / Skougs area other level and possible leaps from Gonzalez / Call / Fisher / Booker and you also have guys like Josue Guerrero.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox1917 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:23 PM) Could Avi net back Kelly in a trade to the Cards? Are cards really buyers still? I think Kelly for Avi would be interesting. The 1 for 1 part of it makes it feasible. Still would love Magneurius. Dope name.
  8. The BA podcast was saying Fedde was in plans for bullpen for Nats (along with Romero lol) so he may be held back from a trade. I'd really like Kieboom. His age and position add a lot of balance. SS is prob our weakest org position even if he's a 3b long term. I wouldn't mind if we got LHP for Robertson either. Man I'm glad we didn't just get drew ward and lizards for DRob.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 07:58 PM) I'm positive if he didn't get hurt that slash line is a ton better but oh well. I agree, I don't think spending time in aaa does anything for him at this point. Some recent podcast said he still feels only 90%. I think you're right.
  10. I think Honel could have been good, he just got injured.
  11. Should we be concerned about Jimenez?
  12. Didn't I see a photo of Joseu Guerrero in AZ?
  13. QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 05:24 PM) So much salt. You know how much sox fans love q when we are also pissed at a guy saying we got a great trade because the player we gave up isn't any good.
  14. I'm only saying no because I it's so hard to change. Probably will be Asche until our next world series.
  15. We had discussed Hahn not budging on our expiring assets to send a message to other teams to be serious with our big assets. I didn't think that worked. But I do think Hahn not budging for Sale/Eaton/Q helped in that it made other GMs not budge in getting their top price for their assets. Nobody decided to say "hey I'll go just enough under Hahns price to get these players" like we saw with Tampa and DeLeon. Pretty incredible.
  16. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 02:00 PM) The Cubs should've paid Chris Sale price for Jose Quintana is my point. And no, not because of "some silly rivalry", but because of the additional revenue and market share loss the Sox will suffer as a result of this trade, all of which is going to go directly to the Cubs. Yes I WILL cut off my nose to spite my face
  17. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 01:56 PM) I know plenty of us discussed a Sox/cubs trade since, December? But even as much as I enjoyed discussing the possibility and as much sense as a trade would make for both teams, I never thought it would actually happen. Wasn't over excited at first about Cease but after reading more about him he looks to be the lite version of Kopech, which is a good thing. Great trade for both teams. I think were getting a nice mix of volatile, talented power arms with good body, 3 pitch pitchers. Only 2-3 have good control now but I think we'll be able to put 5 together with a bullpen. Hope to see even more pitchers come in and some come out of nowhere to pick up slack.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 01:47 PM) LOL. Rangers saw that deal and have now put Darvish on the market. Thank goodness Hahn struck when he did. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Sox did real well with timing and good on Hahn for ensuring it. I was skeptical and it worked out.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 01:05 PM) I realized this week that GarPax turned LaMarcus Aldridge, Taj Gibson, one 1st round, and two second round picks into Joffrey Lauvergne. Who is now on Spurs. Thank goodness I have White Sox.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 01:48 PM) Is that out there? I can't find anything on it. No, but today is his MRI
  21. Today will certainly make the "Burdi requires Tommy John surgery" news a little easier to swallow.
  22. Huh, I thought JOe Gray was supposed to be a can't miss guy
  23. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 01:42 PM) Not that it really matters, but Flete is putting up decent numbers at A+ this year. He's old for the level, but should we really dismiss him so quickly? I mean, I think w-s deserves some players hitting well even if they aren't big MLB prospects.
  24. Filed under really good problems: Sox are going to have quite a crunch in W/S / Kanny.
