One thing that the soccer loan addresses that makes no sense in MLB (except maybe for a brandon belt situation), is there is a need in soccer to give younger players a shot playing as a starter in a top league rather than being on the bench. That isn't really a helpful scenario in MLB.

Right, but maybe he is. Real Estate transactions aren't exactly quick and easy, especially at those price points. I doubt he recieved word he's getting traded and was able to put his house on market before anyone else has gotten privvy to it.

Lots of change next year. about 3 weeks later as it washes away I get home sick. Too much fun the past 6 years watching certain lines gel in the playoffs, the shaw/kane line in 2014, the TT/desjardin/Sharp line in 2015, every time in 2013 when Kane/Toews would pair together to save a series. Such a small amount of time you get to watch that stuff before this league breaks it up.

Reminds me of when I first started following the minors as a kid and thought Ruddy Yan was going to be the next Rickey Henderson.
