  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 04:53 PM) Watson Thanks, yes.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 04:39 PM) The Cavs are better ATM. It all depends on which Rose comes back. As good as the Cavs are offensively, they're not good defensively. Regardless of which rose gets back, Aaron Brooks is just not capable of defending or getting to his spots in the offense against 25/30 teams in this league. He is the worst PG we've had backup Rose since CJ Miles. The fairy dust is over, they need a legit backup since, they usually don't have a starter.
  3. Last year on opening day, Gillaspie was our 3 spot.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 03:47 PM) Well, should be fun losing to LeBron in round two once again. Really should've dealt Noah after last year's peak season for assets. The Bulls would be foolish not to shop Gasol after his rebirth. He won't likely repeat this performance next year. Gasol has a no trade clause. Also, good to know the regular season is only an indicator of the playoffs when the bulls lose.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 01:15 AM) Yup. People so quickly forgot that he had a hell of a stretch for the Sox. He would have earned that money without question had the injury never happened. That being said, the injury did happen and if he's not even #5 starter quality come May, I hope the Sox will be ready to eat that money and move on . He was great. His extension did come out of nowhere though, at a time we thought we were going to start getting rid of talent. Wish we would have waited, but he was a great pitcher. These things happen.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 07:39 AM) You suck. This is obviously true.
  7. poor Quintana. He either needs to grow his hair out our get even worse run support for people to notice him.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong in OOTP but Chris Sale is 0-4 with a 16 ERA and only 4 Ks.
  9. Went to Fire game today. Wow, David Accam makes them a much more entertaining team. Altidore looked awful.
  10. I'd cool it a bit, it's taking something completely out of context. May have been lots of items there. May have been blind bidding. People may have had no idea there were no bids on things. I don't think anyone was being malicious, except the person who reported it.
  11. holy hell check out the goal by stoke in the game today
  12. QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 03:42 PM) If he can hit around 15 HRs then that'll certainly embiggen our offensive firepower. Hopefully he be of noble spirit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_the_Iconoclast
  13. No non-die hard mizzou fball fan would ever read this whole thing, but I found this Q&A hilarious: http://www.columbiatribune.com/blogs/behin...0c1eb6c2d5.html Q&A with a beat writer on Spring Football, where there has been 0 new info, devolves into basically questions on who is showing best teamwork in stretch drills and who would win cage matches.
  14. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 01:14 PM) Indiana "fixed" the law, and the outrage is slowly starting to fade I guess.Nobody seems to be pointing out that before the law, it was perfectly legal to deny someone service in Indiana for being gay by the way.Yes, there are many laws that allow this currently. But, as a strike against they "you shouldn't care about anything unless you are trying to solve everything", this did accomplish one state. Also, I lol'd <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8">

How far we've come: Matt Lindstrom was our closer last April/May

I love this addition. Best addition of the offseason, in my opinion.
  17. This board was very optimistic in 05, people were really tired of the "underachieving" sox teams with the mashers of lee/ordonez/thomas, even though their main problem was pitching. I don't think anyone thought WS, but that was not something I thought was possible before 05.
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 10:10 AM) I think the Bears have signed more free agents this year than the Packers have in the past 10 years. Yeah, but keep in mind bears had lowest amount of players on contract when FA began, and there was the whole system change thing. Funny after the first week, bears fans on wcg were asking whether pace was going to do anything.
  19. cool, somebody noticed something they don't like.
  20. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 07:55 PM) Yes. Clinton did a lot to set the table for the results that Kerry is reaping right now. It isn't that John Kerry is suddenly changing everything in State. He's just there at the right time - and doing a pretty admirable effort at that. Sorry, but it is a hell of a lot harder to close major deals like this than "set the table". His job of setting the table for a deal in Israel Palestine in 2013 with one party explicitly not interested in a deal was more impressive than getting China/Russia on board. Iran 2013 looked as close as ever, now we look like we bought ten years for change. That's a lot of time.
  21. Kerry, regardless of whether you with his policy implementations, has been prolific as SOS. Again, lends me pause on Clinton.
  22. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 11:07 AM) For sure. The good thing from our perspective is that they've all been 1 year deals (except McPhee). These are just stop-gap players until they can begin to plug in their own talent through the draft (or at least I hope that's the plan). McPhee, Rolle, Royal are all 3 year deals.
  23. Of all of what you mentioned, Robertson/Duke being horrible is what scares me most. It would be just so obvious and terrifying for long term.
  24. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 2, 2015 -> 10:22 AM) Is De La Puente still under contract? He seemed like he could be a solid C in the league. Nope, and there seems to have been low interest from bears.
  25. So last night's game sucked. Really bad game from Thibs. If you had never watched an NBA game and asked "who doesn't belong", you would have said Aaron Brooks. He was forced into more minutes iwht kirk out (whom we looked better with at point). But I'd preferred MOore get more burn because he just doesn't turn it over like Brooks. That said, we should have lost, and easily could have won. HOrrendous FT % and 3pt %. Just an outlier game.
