  1. Any chance there are streaming options for this?
  2. He was so much fun in 05 06. I think I've mentioned that I don't know s much about Sox history since my dad was an Is fan. Minoso was it. He was the first guy I knew and clung too and wish I could have seen.
  3. Aw. This hurts. RIP
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 28, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) Kobe is out for the season Read it again.
  5. Don't see him on much anymore, but soxtalk's own reported on this : http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/p...ory.html#page=1
  6. Really hope he pitches for OD for my sake. But, not worried about this.
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 24, 2015 -> 06:13 PM) related: Bad lieutenant: American police brutality, exported from Chicago to Guantánamo Exclusive: At the notorious wartime prison, Richard Zuley oversaw a shocking military interrogation that has become a permanent stain on his country. Part one of a Guardian investigation reveals he used disturbingly similar tactics to extract confessions from minorities for years – as a police officer in urban America Some good follow-up by WBEZ on this: http://www.wbez.org/news/concerns-raised-o...n-square-111635 There was also another. Definitely seems like Ackerman may have been hyping up one location and I agree that may be misleading the cause. Also the whole quote about how chicago crime reporters are helping cover up things because they agree with it just opened him up for his loose reporting. I like Ackerman, but if you are going into a local zone and act like you know something others don't, you better have been tactful.
  8. You should obviously be able to find them on a ticket resale site. Especially in April/Sept.
  9. I will take the top 5 in the east this year over the top 5 in the east since...2011? Best in a longwhile.
  10. This thread is remarkably negative for being a pretty much best case scenario in the circumstances.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) I think it's amazing that this team is still almost certainly a playoff team. Why? Recently, Noah has been playing like Noah, Jimmy has been great all year, and Dunleavy is an excellent offensive role player. Taj/Niko/Snell are better than most of the crap in the east. The front court is top 5 in the NBA, top to bottom.
  12. From what it sounds like, they did not rip out the whole thing, they just removed the affected region.
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 10:41 AM) Got it taken out just like Westbrook did. He'll have arthritis in that knee when he gets older/when his career is done now, but if he's cool with that when he's taking his son to graduation, he should be more than fine for the short term. But was it just removed like Wade or trimmed like Westbrook?
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 10:13 AM) He is on the score right now, really good stuff. He is very much into analyzing pitchers and their tells, and he thinks Eaton is gonna be the goods Hayes sounds like this guy is keeping camp interesting for media. Which is good, since Coop was really holding down the fort there.
  15. Didn't realize I ran into the Brian Cole fan club. After Noah's surgery, McDermott, Dengs botched spinal tap, etc, I have no happy thoughts toward that medical staff. Hopefully this was a really small tear.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 08:16 AM) Right, but unless it's the most extreme of cases (Rodon), I think penciling guys in at any point is the wrong idea anyways. I'm extremely excited about the prospects of Tim Anderson, but penciling him in as a starter at the MLB level 2 or 3 years from now is still a stretch. He'll likely get a chance, but we have no idea what anything holds. That's why building the farm system up to have tons of depth is so important, because these guys will bust and having back up plans in place in the event they do is very important. Well, yeah, but Tim Anderson was in AA. Davidson had already had a successful cup of tea and 1 year in AAA when we acquired him. I'm not penciling in all prospects, but he seemed like a pretty sure thing.
  17. Well, I've no longer penciled him in, let's say that.
  18. Davidson and EJ, two guys I have written off that if they become true starters will change the next few years of the franchise.
  19. The scary thing is I don't think Garcia is at all realistic or competent with financing and has taken the teachers union line that basically TIF reform will solve the problems of the city... on the other hand, no way in hell i could ever vote for someone whose been overseeing a police dept with blacksites.
  20. Best article I've seen on EJ. Hope that is true that he was bothered physically: http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/white-...ter-scenic-2014
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 26, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) Isn't this the 12th game Rose has missed this season? It's not like the other guys never play. I think they are plenty used to them running the offense. I do think they may have been a little let down by the news and mentally weren't all there. They've been pretty bad without him.
  22. The "the bulls are 1.2 points better with Rose off the court anyway" crowd just learned what it means when Aaron Brooks plays vs. 1's.
  23. Hoiberg does coach currently at a high level, and people were talking about him coaching while he still played. i have no doubt he'd be a good pro coach. The Iowa state thing, who cares.
