  1. When we got Dye he had a pretty proven record of slow starts and heating up in summer. With us he's been more consistent but knowing that when we signed him I haven't been too worried of a Dye slow start. (even though I don't feel he had that poor of a start this year)
  2. Because they have no backbone. They probably see that this can be turned around on them as "look they don't want to protect you from terrorists", and for some reason, they feel they can't win the argument over following the law and the constitution with the American people. And maybe they can't, but I don't know how they can stand themselves in 30 years and realize they were the one's that were responsible for warrantless wiretaps. I'm ALL FOR wiretapping terrorists and potential terrorists, but the courts were already passing these out easily anyways. Why completely circumvent an obstacle set in place to prevent gross abuse in the future? If FISA courts are taking too long, see to it that they can process the warrants faster, don't just make it legal for no warrants. And don't just give a free pass to companies to do whatever they want as long as the president said it was okay. This is not our country.
  3. for all republicans on this site, if you want to continue your pat on the back club of "oh well obama can do no wrong with you" in regards to me, I'm deeply disappointed in his weak move on FISA. A disgusting typical insecure democrats move to try and not appear weak on national sec. Well, far be it of me to expect LAW to still exist in a war on anything.
  4. god bless em, true V.I.P.'s to me. EVERYONE MAKE A FUSS TO THEIR SENATORS SO THEY CAN'T GET 60 TO CLOTURE
  5. Oh, poor RIAA, the poor, lazy, incompatible to the new millenium RIAA trying to hang on desperately to an old inferior business model by suing everyone in sight. Huh, they used to pay radiostations to pay their songs illegally, now they want to sue them for paying their songs? We are talking about the dumbest industry in the world. The one that gone stupid by their own greed, would be paying 450 grand in bad music videos and millions in marketing before a band would even record an album and would be in debt for many before they'd get their star just to break even. They deserve no sympathy. They are protecting no intellectual rights. Thankfully, now bands hold their destiny in their own hands. Bye bye capitol records.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) If you want to flat out enjoy yourself for just under two hours, go rent "Be Kind Rewind." It's rated PG-13, but I see no reason why a family couldn't enjoy it together. The wife and I rented it this weekend, and it's just flat out enjoyable. Not only are the film re-enectments hilarious, but the movie also has a great story. It helps that I adore Jack Black, but you'll like this one a lot even if you don't. I'll probably give it another spin before returning it, it's that good. a Michael Gondry film.
  7. I can't go for the first time. It sucks. I wanted to see Les Savy Fav again.
  8. I'm not thrilled about edwards as VP, either.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) Why would you want Lilly starting two of three games? god I'm crying laughing at work.
  10. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) will the suntimes still be around in 3 years? QFT
  11. Al Gore wouldn't be VP. He's so much bigger now that he's out of politics. He doesn't want the warm bucket of spit.
  12. Anyone opposed to this, make sure you let your rep's know. They keep trying to push this through, there is an uproar in blogs and highly vocalized minority groups and it dies for a couple of months. Let Hoyer and Pelosi and Rockefeller know what an outrage this is. It basically okays anything from now on as long as the president deemed it okay. And support Sen. Feingold and Dodd.
  13. QUOTE (Steff @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 02:51 AM) Oh yes. A few hours with detailed instructions and pre-made bottles is completely comparable. We aren't really dealing with rational persons here.
  14. I'm sure they think their time babysitting is comparable.
  15. actually they are immune from all those things if said on the floor.

QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 09:53 PM) I guess I'm a little nuts but I always enjoy M.Night films and The Happening wasn't any different. I'm beyond astonished that anyone could find that movie entertaining in any other way than it's so awful it's funny.
  17. In the Holy Shoot! file for the day, Obama polled ahead of McCain in "off-limits" Florida. IN FLORIDA. I'm not saying this gets him Florida, but the fact that it is close, the fact that McCain has to put heavy money and resources into this state people that was sure red after Clinton lost, is a huge win. McCain is going to be stretched so thin this election, and he has no where near the resources, be it money or volunteers, that Obama has.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 06:09 AM) You guys are all out of your minds. I dont ever want to hear about the worst movie ever unless you have seen Crossover, the end. Wayne Brady is the villain. Do I need to say any more? talk to me when you've seen the happening.
  19. Eddie O and Foley? Please get me some WGN games!
  20. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) Lol!Then who the hell do you blame?! prosecution. I really doubt celebrity had that much to do with it. I doubt the chicago prosecutors got that out-maneuvered on jury selection. I mean if people seriously believed he was guilty there would've been a mistrial. But these people are instructed to sit their and judge and say whether they absolutely, positively feel he's guilty, or not guilty...not INNOCENT, but not guilty. And with the girl supposedly in the video saying it isn't her, the mole angle, and then the extortionist prosecutor witness, I don't think I'd be able to say guilty.
  21. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 06:24 PM) Don't get me wrong, I agree with that point. But, it's amazing to me how this guy is "perfect" in every sense of the word to some people. I think we're just excited.
