We Needed this Loss Today
sorry, yeah my post was towards the first one. I'm just having a very bad week, and an even worse day, with no prospect of it getting better over the weekend. This loss didn't help.

We Needed this Loss Today
really? Cause a win would've put us at 3.5 games back instead of 5.5, i'd say we needed the former more.

The Local Band you love.
they said the new album will sound nothing like Worlds apart, which is awesome news. Because Madonna and Source Tags were so awesome.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) THAT...IS...AWESOME!!! I love the 80's depression-rock. Some of the most ridiculous lines ever, and yet, they touched my very soul. Local Austin Bands: Milton Mapes, Black Lipstick, What Made Milwaukee Famous. ...Trail of dead, I love you but i've chosen darkness

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) Anybody heard that new Thom Yorke album yet? I didn't know it existed until I saw it was #2 in sales last week in the paper this morning. yeah, i heard it. Think Kid A with even more elementary electronica. I'm having trouble deciding if its good, or if i only like it cause of radiohead. Seems a bit rushed. Some good songs but certainly some filler.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) But then you have to define "made-it". All of mine would work then, aside from Cheap Trick. But even them I would still consider "local", with as much as they stay in Rockford and do free shows and small clubs all the time. well...i mean smashing pumpkins and wilco and cheap trick have kind of transcended local popularity

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) My cats have killed a few mice but mostly they just kill inanimate objects. Mostly small toys from the kids rooms. They'll bat it around for awhile then sit and meow until somebody goes in and tells them what a good job they did... i've never had an outdoor cat, or apparantly "i've never had a killing machine"

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) Well, I suppose that The Times They Are A Changing, now where Have I heard that before? Sounds like it would make a good title for a song. you'd think you'd pick a hall and oates song title the way you've been leanin recently

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 03:20 AM) I hear ya, most new music just sounds like bands trying to 'outweird' each other. Every once in a while I tune back in and get caught up and find myself being dissapointed or even shocked at what is considered 'good'. whitehouse

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) I think I have been trapped in a transitional phase of music in my life. I really like classic rock, I have put Zeppelin, T Rex, The Cars, ELO, Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Jethro tull, Peter Gabriel, and Pink floyd on my Ipod recently, and i also have my wide array of 90's-2000's rock/rap/jazz on my ipod as well. But nothing new strikes me anymore. I think the radio stations of Chicago have totally deprogrammed me and are forcing me to think outside of the box for new music, but I dont have the time(or the inclination) to research music I would like, so I have stuck to what I really really like(Failure, Brand New, 311, Blinker the Star, etc.) instead of seeking out new music. Its a really strange phase for me, I used to be "that guy" at our college parties who would break out anything and everything you never knew about and blast it. sounds like your just getting older to me. new music sucks anyways.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) Why is that in green? Its true. its probably in green because he doesn't want people to think its associated with him.
