QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Is it going to hurt to say I have a good feeling about tonight? Oswalt is damn good, but he's not invincible or unbeatable. We can get to him, and hopefully will. My money for White Sox player to get a big hit of Oswalt goes on.... *drum roll*.... Kong. I may be wrong, and probably am, but if I end up right, just remember who called it ~_^ wrong, pods is gonna go 3-4 with three home runs and the sox win 3-2

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Roy's got a funky motion, against the cards he was mostly throwing fastballs, he's also got a damn good slow curveball. His fastball in the NLCS was reaching 97 a lot. He's a damn good pitcher(duh). the USA today sports section said he threw 90% fastballs to the cardinals... which means if he shuts us down, harold raynolds can say, SEE, the white sox are NOT a good fastball hitting team haha... he's a damn good pitcher, but if we wanna be the best we gotta beat the best. LETS f***ING GET HIM!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 04:33 AM) I still think he'll finish the season between .275 and .280 and will resign with the White Sox. I've been laughing all year at all the people bashing him and quite frankly I'm convinced he's going to have some huge hits in the post-season for the Sox. you were sooo wrong...i'm surpised you still post here
  5. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Long live John Jacob Astor! Hero of the Titanic! hahahahahahahahaha
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) As much as people b****ed about records being tainted by all the juicing, let's face it, fans dig offense and the long ball. They want the 15-12 slugfests and moon shot homers. hopefully 2 nights ago's game will get higher ratings... actually i guess i really don't give a f*** to tell you the truth...i just hate the b****ing of the networks, you paid for the WS realizing that you might not always get the matchup you want...this isn't the superbowl with a guaranteed huge share, you still have to fight against primetime shows.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) That's what happens when a team is steamrolling everyone. Awesome, now let's go up 3-0 zip tonight so that there is ZERO interest in the rest of the series, then end it in 4. its also what happens when teams play good baseball instead of just bad pitching and defense but they hit the crap out of the ball (yeah i'm talkin bout the red sox cardinals series) i mean, that indians/marlins series in 97 was a great series...and it had really low ratings... so i guess there just aren't a lot of real baseball fans, just soap opera hype fans.
  8. it makes us look pathetic and without heroes...but i'll tell you what, i have so many good memories of the sox in my life and sox players...i remember getting a fake team autographed ball in one of my first sox games in 93, and i would go through every signature trying to figure out who it was, rubbing in my hands until all the signatures rubbed off. It was awesome. One of my favorite memories just staring at the ball.

i really appreciate everyone who has uploaded his calls for me, being that i'm in missouri, i will REALLy miss john...but the fact that i have been able to hear him for an extra month was a real treat. He will always be the premier sox radio voice in my heart, probably will be my favorite ever. And i have faith in farmio doing good next year. And i hope john has a wonderful career and team to announce for.

    QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 04:14 AM) i'm sure he is
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) The Ozzie plan is a 13-gamer, and is available in November. awesome...must. pool. money. i made it to 8 games this summer, and i figure i prolly overpayed quite a bit , so i figured if i'm gonna go to plus 10 games..get a ticket package.
  12. i love the first 13 minutes, the rest is somewhat tedious...i still love it though a full hour of political/media satire??? i love it!

i've been listening to Can and Captain beefheart recently...thats about it...
  14. whats the double play package? i was thinking about a 14 gamer to split with my brothers next summer
  15. despite his troubles, i still feel like he'll come through in an rbi situation when we need him to...for the most part he hasn't had many jobs to do at the plate, plus, that hit last night = confidence.
  16. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Gotta be less than 8,000. No one likes the Sox or their "ballmall". And the neighborhood is dangerous, full of scary people. i agree, plus the upper deck is too steep
  17. the rally crede once cut the horns of of a ram and threw it into the heart of an astros fan. From the blood came lisa dergen.
  18. QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) You can be in uniform and not be on the roster. Anderson, Borchard, BMac, & Frank are all in the dugout in uniform. oh gotcha... that's gotta be a fun treat for those guys to put on the uniforms with the world series patches on em... they should all know they had a huge part in the sox being here...well, maybe not borch, but that 2 HR game by anderson was sick...
  19. being that i live in a household with cub fans, i doubt i'd ever lose that joy of my brother being pissed off after a loss... haha, its a great feeling.
  20. is this incredible naive of me to not know but... is anderson on the playoff roster? he's fully dressed
  21. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Can't stand "announcer voice guys" either. Can't tell any of them apart. I've been listening to Miller on ESPN radio, and he has a real problem with play by play. He misses 2 or 3 pitches per at bat telling stories. He'll say, "Here's Konerko." Then it's on to some story about Konerko. Then all of a sudden he'll say, "3-1 count." I mean, I know calling a ball isn't as exciting as learning about PK's shaving habits, but some of us are interested in the game, too. Paint me a picture, Big Guy. interesting, perhaps he should stick with tv where its not that important for things like that. TV is where i like him.
  22. can't figure out how to use green
  23. their announcing is what i'd expect from a national crew. Its weird because barring packers games, i really never feel that football broadcasters are biased. Yet with baseball i always feel they just don't know anything about any teams except on the east coast and some of the west coast teams *seattle, oakland*. But what i'm getting more sick of is their voices. I dont like joe bucks voice and i don't like tim mccarvers voice. I like voices like Jon Miller and Jon Rooney, hell, i would love to have bob costas announcing these games. I've always been a fan.
