I’m very pro springer. Happy Sox are interested.

One trade acquisition Is be interested in is Kikuchi. One of the few teams of sellers, and he looked extremely unlucky this year. All his pitches looked better than 2019, and he added a successful cutter to mix.

Why did you write this here?

Reed would be a dream.

When it was new in March/April, it was scary and numbers hard to grasp, but was fortunate it wasn't visible anywhere around me. Coworkers, friends, neighbors, schools, offices, all safe from it at first. That's not the case right now, these are huge numbers but it also feels as huge as it seems. Neighbors coming down with it, family, friends, coworkers.

He’s not that inexperienced, he’s been a minor league pitching coach for years now, and teams have been going after coaches out of majors for a few years. Especially college where they have led mlb in player development

Do we see any other shakeups here in org pitching or pretty much Insert Katz for Cooper?

What he did was already illegal? And gonna spitball this, maybe people feel there is a difference between "I want Tony Larussa to go to jail for a long time" and "I don't think the white sox should employ someone who has broken an important law more than once to one of the most sought after, public, and replaceable positions in their organization"

"Hello, Representative? I think we should make driving while intoxicated illegal!"

Right, I think that would be too much for lynn, but I just think it's closer to a Lynn package with headliners than Woodruff. I don't see why the Brewers would do that deal without getting a big time cost controlled bat.

The only chatter was among #whitesoxtwitter personalities, and the board has never really let that go. Brewers fans were laughing it off. That said, there are so many teams going for it, I could see why people target brewers as one of the teams that could trade a high impact player. But I think that package is closer to a Lance Lynn package than Woodruff.

Absolutely incredible.

Tough part about trades is everyone is going for it. Maybe Burdi is thought of highly still, but our best trade pieces are bullpen. I don't see matches for teams like Yanks, maybe they go for thompson/dalquist levels.

Rockies trading Marquez to infuse their expensive, weak hitting offense for Nick Madrigal is just the rockies kind of move I need. And then I guess they ship Brendan Rodgers to the ...outfield

Yeah gifs don't work for some reason.

The way that they had "the white sox, the new mets" was not intended, but should maybe be intended that way.

White Sox are short on pitching because they have Lopez.

How many assholes does Sam Fuld want to work for in his career?

who cares if it's fake or not, it's throwing out names that are players in baseball and we can discuss whether we'd want them, would trade for them, etc. There isn't anything else going on beside our manager risking people's lives. Fake insiders >> TLR.

Ah, so it isn't "sox will spend more" with larussa, it's "sox will be desperate for immediate upgrades but not with money so they will trade prospects for short term deals, and then next year they will also not have more budget so they will then be trading for Mike Leake and acting like they are world series contenders" Phew!

Oh i get what you are saying. Yeah, there are not a lot of teams that are a fit for Madrigal. Especially outside of our division.

I wonder if TLR called him.

Depends how much money Katz is throwing into the pot to help sign him.

When you can be replaced with Wong and Hernandez not sure you are untouchable.

I don't know what all in on analytics means or even matters, but when working with Giolito he found him all the support, tools, and technology needed to overhaul his mechanics in one offseason. He seems to get the trust of the pitchers he works with, which is the A1 responsibility here: "The biggest thing I learned early was getting the players to trust you," he said. "You have to make sure they know it's about them and it's not about you. Once that happened, it was pretty easy. That was something I focused on -- building the relationships." After the high school season, in the summers of 2011 and 2012, Katz served as pitching coach of the La Crosse [Wisconsin] Loggers in the collegiate wood-bat Northwoods League. Andy McKay, who became a mental skills coach in the Rockies system in 2012 and was named the Mariners director of player development in October 2015, was the Loggers manager at the time. In Katz's second season with the Loggers, Tyler Servais, son of then-Angels assistant GM and current Mariners manager Scott Servais, was the team's catcher. https://www.milb.com/news/gcs-177671770 Just unbelievable luck (well, that's a very wealthy school, but still) the coaching group that was put together for Fried, Giolito and Flaherty in high school.
