  1. Will never not get confused by thinking Hunter is Brian dozier
  2. Man next week is gonna be clutch to have a few days off. Hope we can get thru this one.
  3. This Royals team has some real dead weight (mondesi) but man the central is way better than we figured. KC is starting to show its promising future rotation and still has stars like merrifield. Not sure how Detroit is doing what its doing, but they would be in as good a position as the reds if In NL.
  4. ...why isn’t he a solution as part of a platoon? He has still produced really well against LHP this year, after the same last year.
  5. I remember seeing kershaw in 2017 and just being gobsmacked by how many guys over .900 ops were at the plate (on the Dodgers). It is truly remarkable to get to watch. my viewing is so used to innings “ending” when the wrong part of the order comes through. Even last night J had that ingrained feeling of disappointment after Robert had lined out a with a man on base, then behind him is friggen Eloy and you realize it never really stops in this lineup.
  6. I think Great Falls is the only goner, but obviously a chance some of these leagues go
  7. Man I’m loving focusing on Major League Baseball but getting a prospect list* like this makes me miss getting 6 box scores a day and following these guys. *albeit one filled with guys I’m already able to watch up here
  8. Man I love having McCann and Grandal. 2 years ago it would be friggen Soto trying to get Dunning through that.
  9. Phew. sucks to have Alberto mondesi beat you but that could have been much worse. Way to buckle down DD
  10. They are the same in that they aren't hard to work around when they don't work out and they aren't working out but we are supposed to sacrifice the rest of the team so we can get, like, maybe a good year out of a player before he becomes a free agent.
  11. Trade Trade and not really anything wrong with the Frazier trade he was fine. Give me a 3 WAR player in RF with lowsalary, seems good! 35 y.o. 38 y.o. I know you were deeply scarred by the samardjiza trade but you'll notice a lot of playoff teams do indeed add players each year. And when you need to get rid of a player you just get rid of them. Every player now rumored on soxtalk: "Am I willing to spend the rest of my life with this person?"
  12. We missed out on quality players that would have helped us this year, like had we signed Lance Lynn (as @Chicago White Sox advocated at the time), they were not blocking any "top prospects" they were blocking yolmer sanchez. You are only rebuilding until you aren't. Nelson Cruz, etc. Smart investments in good players that were available would have paid off. And now we are still apparently trying to have a bad player "payoff" for some reason while within the competitive window. Go figure.
