I think so. As his krate persists so low, it's really hard at times to not think of him as level-proofed. Maybe his ability to make contact is so good that even if its weak he is exploiting holes he sees? At some point you start to believe that, and if he continues to do that against better and better arms he will just be this successful player playing a completely different kind of game. I wish he'd up his SB% though.

I still think this excuse is ridiculous. To make it work people just kept extending how long a wrist should bother you to make it fit. Ptatc also mentioned the type of wrist injury he had shouldn't have affected power. His timing appeared off, he was probably letting the shift get in his head. Clearly the hot streak he was in the three weeks before was meaningful, and his makeup really did show up. The gloating over the promotion thing is silly. If they waited a few more weeks and his hot streak had continued in A+ before getting moved up...did he lose anything? He's improving as he's moving up levels which is nice to see. His brand of baseball is still working and his walks are improving. All of that is great news.

It is because he has operated so differently in the past 3 seasons that he has allowed the team to get players they like this offseason. They got under the luxury tax and stayed disciplined.

Fun year in AZL. Wish Thompson and Dalquist would pitch a few innings but I hope we can hear reports from instructs since it seems we are only one of a handful that still run games in AZ.

Yanks are dropping CC and possibly Chapman’s contracts. They saved themselves this offseason on Corbin, they aren’t going to be outbid on a legit piece like Cole.

He may have just gotten better since he is striking out more guys. But the Kanny defense was pretty bad, though that wouldn’t account for so many more hits now. His peripherals were good in Kanny just saw worse results, but maybe he found something his last few starts before promotion that propelled him in A+

Man I struggle to follow pitchers until they become a known thing. Not sure I follow a single kannapolis pitcher. Had no idea Andrew Perez had like a 40% k rate down there

Thanks, definitely 22. Im excited but also still unsure what their production ultimately means. When you even do the exercise on where we believe the Sox feel they rank among each other, it would be reasonable to assume it is: Beard Gladney Ramos Rodriguez Beard was a 4th rounder, Gladney was over slot, Ramos was a 300k day 1 signing on J2, and Rodriguez was a mid year J2 signing originally in DSL a full year. So to what extent does this years production change that order? I don’t even know that it would! Except maybe as a whole we have more shots at a player that makes the big leagues.

Little sad to not see any of the upstart AZL guys there.

I don’t know to what amount it’s a fools errand to analyze DSL progress, but for a while he was getting lit up in his last inning. He’s been going 5 consistently now without a big blow up. So excited to have him stateside next year to get more of a read on him.

So I mentioned this earlier, but Robert may not be as disgruntled due to the Sox holding him in DSL for a year to increase his total take home pay.

man I keep thinking about how this will be the fastest Sox team in my lifetime when Robert joins them and eventually Madrigal.

Nice AZL game last night. Not a pitcher among them but a bunch of multi hit games was nice to see.
