this is a beaut.

Man where did I see a video of his catch in center last night where he makes up like 400 yards in a second? If anyone knows and can post it I will give you a very valuable purple and white trophy.
-
It will never not bother me how people categorized him pre-draft, even though I'm very happy we got Vaughn.
-
Is this real?
-
Yes, offensively I don't know how rough the k'ing will make his first years, but certainly in the field and basepaths he will have eloy. After watching robles in that very entertaining series vs the nats I definitely started to yearn for robert to start taking over in center. I dont know he'll be as good as Robles but he's definitely as fast and we'll see him track down some balls.

and probably a broken thumb.

Also I'm hoping Zangari did not get hurt again.

mendick is always a funny follow because he's so streaky and its always when he starts to bottom out that he then will go on a tear that puts him in his comfort range of between .235 and .280
-
How? guessing it will wait until 12/15?

“Grand slam alcides Escobar”

Hahaha ah Robert is such a stud

Suck it devers

Well I don't get the one or the other I guess Law did but for me neither Kopech or Cease would be in my "top prospects" list.
-
I feel like removing players when they hit the bigs (when they are clearly there to stay) is the correct way of doing it. Prospect means they ain't live yet.

Dang I keep forgetting this happened

Benyamin Bailey 0-5 no BBs. Yogurt Sanchez now 0-6. Whenever you see a good pitching line in DSL it's inevitable: Ronaldo Guzman 5IP 8ks 3BBs 2ER

I think where you find the cynic in me is while that all sounds logical it is not at all the way the NBA offseasons have operated recently, and I worry that it will continue to be the way Paxson thinks it will operate. When 2021 rolls around, the bulls need to make sure they have room for 1 max while also making sure they can send any of their guys out to get whomever a star may want. Or, they don't even wait and just get a guy. If the bulls turn get into the 2nd round of the Eastern conference playoffs with this group, it's reasonable a star may say its a good spot. However, if they still seem raw, its clear stars aren't quite in on taking the chance on a group of young guys taking the next step with them. THey want some insurance. Paxson would need to either force them there through trade or find that star. Will Markannen be a star? I think he'll be very good but Id on't see it.

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors

I'll take the over on that, especially with the lack of timeline to it. If he does I get to approve all of your posts from now on. -
I don't care to harp on this anymore as I'm repeating myself, but this is exactly the reason why we shouldn't expect a McCann signing, even at the peak of his play, to actually mean we are paying for the current level of production for the rest of the contract. That said, as to why there is urgency to do a mid year extension? I don't know that there is one, if anyone you do that with Jose for the feels.

They could have still drafted the polished college bats they have while going so overwhelmingly tilted toward college. Dalquist certainly made this a bit more HS heavy due to the need for 5th year seniors and seniors for budget, but they could have easily added a 2nd or 3rd round high schooler in the last few years while still satisfying the need to get upper level depth in play. That and high level high school talent has moved just as quickly as college talent recently. The Beards/Gladneys etc will take a while but they were later or under slot picks.

DFA COLLINS SIGN REED TO EXTENSION -
I just think this is one of those things where it’s not a big deal in terms of dollars in either direction and the Sox should keep him, but whether that’s now or next year I don’t particularly care when they sign him.
-
Phew him going 0-9 right after I went all in on his stats really sucked.
-
Mieses homer. Him and Comas have done well in great falls.

I think it's a decent working number since there just have been quite few "middle of the road" catchers. I 100% believe it would be somewhere in between 2/15 and 2/19, and I really don't mind those prices even assuming non-all star offensive production.
