  1. Like if you asked me to bet who would have a better OPS after their next 150 ABs Adam Engell or Ryan Cordell it would be a tough call for me.
  2. I like Cordell's defense and was very happy for his homer and double in limited at bats but let's keep in mind if you include last years MLB at bats he's just a .478 ops in the majors. He also had a sub .700 OPS last year in Charlotte. It was a bad year for him, but it's not so obvious he's going to be competent.
  3. Basabe and Adolfo are not fringe top ten org guys.
  4. Jrue is a top 10 point guard for sure. It's definitely what you said, but I just don't see it mattering. Porter will be a huge expiring the year after next, and jrue is good. It will definitely max the bulls out as like a 5 seed optimistically but not sure what else they will do.
  5. dunn probably has negative value at this point. I don't see it happening unless it somehow becomes part of a 3 team trade for AD and Ball truly forces his way out of the NoLa part. Would not be against it, I do love his defense and passing. Getting Jrue holiday would be nice even though it would max out the cap next few years, but I am pretty sure he will net a much prettier package than bulls would give up.
  6. When I first saw this I thought, that's a bummer, but I kinda thought it was all made out of stone and it would just be a contained fire. It's pretty much destroyed and they don't seem to be able to put it out Very sad. Even as someone who doesn't like church tourism abroad, notre dame was incredible.
  7. His pulling the ball was, not hit tool in general, which seems fair. But more hilarious to me was Jim Bowdens top 200 players or something regurgitating Robert at like 95 because hit tool then having players with less power or athleticism above him. Guy is a freak. Maybe he ends up as BJ Upton, I hope not, but he's going to be some baseball theatre when he's here.
  8. When successful and smart organizations get rid of pitching coaches like they have people scouts then I'll stop holding our own pitching coaches accountable for the success of the players. It's not like I am demanding coop fix Ervin Santana or James Shields, I just want to see our young pitching prospects sustain success under him instead of being vacillating between bad and "worst pitcher in baseball".

Eh, Jon is terrible at playing politics and sansa is good at it, if sansa is worried about it it's because it will be a struggle to maintain northern unity.
  10. The second rounders (and 1st round comp pick) are exactly my issues too. They really did pick just after some unfortunate fulcrums in 2016, 2017. But they should be targeting HS pitcher/SS profiles in round 2, not rounds 4 and 6. It has led to a system without much youth and still struggling to produce out of latam.

People correctly identified that if they had something there, it would be at DH, not RF. And if he had worked out as a DH (where he outperformed Alonso offensively last year), it would mean the sox have an additional $9 million to work with. Seems like a good plan when we are still rebuilding.
  12. If the coach has no tangible effect on the success of the players, who cares if they are fired?
  13. I think Coop did a very good job for a long time, but 2012 was the last year I could say he did a great job. But he seems to have been a poor fit to work with a bunch of young pitchers at once, which maybe any pitching coach would fail at. But overall, I agree with DA that it would just result in Curt Hasler, and the ideal situation where a pitching coach/manager are aligned with a progressive front office ain't happening.
  14. I feel like only Robert will be promoted before the draft. Then it will just be a bunch of draft promotions.
  15. Plenty of draft picks fail.
  16. I find it so weird for Jessica Mendoza to be announcing a mets game
  17. I am still very confident that a player with a hit tool and baseball IQ like his will overproduce compared to expectations. I just don’t know that he figures that out by his first two years, but his other tools are carrying tools that can have him arrive before his offensive power arrives.
  18. What strategy genius will Ricky bring to the table when he can’t just fall back on default left right matchups?
  19. Curious to hear what you mean by this. What was pre neutered Hostetler? What is pre neutered Haber? These dudes had some outside experience, but are thick with the white Sox home grown life.
  20. I think his point is none of those players were drafted by the white Sox despite high picks.

If you crush it in Birmingham you can make it in the majors. when Anderson survived Birmingham it was the sign he’d be alright.
  22. Man it’s empty at the stadium
