He will, but he's not especially poor. But you just will not get that many shots on up the middle talent with plus defense, speed and power. I am as scared as anyone of our front office, but I will maintain that one of the reasons the sox are so bad at developing high school talent is because they have not invested in high school talent. Any other number of orgs have failed in greater numbers of high schoolers than the sox, but you get lucky with one and you get the type of athletic talent that doesn't often come to college.

I don't know what to make of reddish/barrett. I would take jarrett culver over both of those i think, or Darius Garland. But all have weaknesses.

Luis Gonzalez was horrible his first year too, I have a hard time believing being in kannapolis for half a year made him better even though he produced.

I'm pretty pleased with his AA year. He kept up a good OBP and in a park that is terrible for him he nearly slugged .400. If you think of Mendick as similar to Saladino, he's on a very similar trajectory. 11 of Mendicks 14 home runs was as an away player last year.
