  1. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) I might have to pick one of those up.. they look real nice. Ya, I absolutely love that. I'm getting one.
  2. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) Duke basically ended the season as only a top 15 team. How will they be in the top ten without Reddick and Williams? Vitale again drinking the Duke Kool-Aid. UNC number 1, NO WAY. UCONN in the top 10 even if Boone comes back--I don't believe it. He is that smart when it comes to B-ball. A drunk monkey could put out a better top 10 list. When was the last time Duke didn't finish in the top 10-15? They're losing a lot but you guys are kidding yourselves if you don't think they're going to be a top 15 team this year. Top 10? Maybe not, but I certainly wouldn't dismiss it.
  3. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) Holyfield could fight. But he just wasn't among the best at D. The man took a beating most of his career. Ya, Evander is down on my all time great list.
  4. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) Tyson had the most powerful punch of any heavyweight ever. That he did, however, Ali would have outsmarted Mike and tired the guy out.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) Of course. Our entire pitching staff was studly last season (well, minus Marte). But is it okay to be concerned with our current bullpen? I think a lot of people are a bit concerned with our pen but you have a history here of overreacting over certain things so whether that's in the past or not it might come back to bite you.
  6. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) game over. TIE
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) Nope, but when he does it in the regular season you can call me out. Then maybe we should allow Bobby to pitch in the regular season before we start going crazy about a blown save, no?
  8. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) I'm sure 90% of us would pick ALI as the best of all time OVERALL. But, who was at the highest peak during their Prime? Some Notables I wanted to add , but couldn't due to 10 maximum Choices: Jim Jeffries Sonny Liston Joe Frazier Evander Holyfield Riddick Bowe Ali, and no offense to Lewis but he'd get his ass kicked by the others on this list in their primes.
  9. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) And whom are we talking about? Anderson Gomes.
  10. I can not wait to get to the park on Sunday.
  11. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) My second hand exhaling doesn't cause you stinky clothes and a potential health problem. See the logic? There you go, big difference.
  12. QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 08:10 AM) Smokers have a legal right to smoke, in my opinion. I would think that I have the legal right to breathe as well.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) I'd wait until Logan actually shows he can perform in the majors for a couple of months, before I'd anoint him better than Marte. For all we know, Marte could get back to his best form in Pittsburgh, since he won't be facing up to Ozzie everyday. Dam is done, he's f'd up in the head.
  14. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) Don't forget that UNC didn't use their bench because they didn't need to. They had talented guys like Jimmy Braddock, and Buzz Peterson, as well as 7'1 Warren Martin for stretches. PG. Jimmy Black vs. Tony Delk(even, Delk better scorer, Black def/distributor) SG. MJ vs. Derek Anderson(MJ big) SF. Matt Doherty vs. Ron Mercer(even) PF. Worthy vs. Walker(Worthy) C. Perkins vs. McCarty(Perkins) Wayne Turner vs. Jimmy Braddock(Shephard slightly, due to p/t) Jeff Shephard vs. Buzz Peterson(same as above) Nazr Mohammed vs. Warren Martin(same reason, Nazr slightly) Tough to say. It's not hard to imagine MJ, Worthy, Perkins, and Doherty running the floor with Black leading the way doing very well in an uptempo style. That plus the height UNC could throw out there if need be, 8 guys 6'8 or over, leads me to believe it would have been a great game. I think it's pretty obvious that UK would kick ass, it doesn't matter that I never saw that UNC team play, it's obvious because I said so.
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:13 AM) LOL. Anyway, Jimbo can take over now. I don't care about Kansas enough to defend them. Ha, I'm just really giving Jimbo a hard time. Kansas is obviously going to be super talented next year but it is honestly really hard to bet on a Bill Self coached team.
  16. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:10 AM) I know. Kansas has choked on a fat one in the tourney the last couple years. But next year's team will be a lot more experienced. I agree, kind of like that 05 kansas team..oh wait.
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) Until they play a mid major in the 1st round and lose again. Ass.
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:07 AM) You guys are gonna be scary good next year. Until the tournament.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:02 AM) If they both stay, Florida is preseason top 5 no doubt. I would be shocked if they both stay, and wouldn't be too surprised if both left. This draft is so weak so anybody that did anything in this tournament is a risk to leave. Noah really seems passionate about staying so I really do believe he's going to stay. Horford would be a bit of a later first round pick so he might stay as well, who knows.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) Yeah some of these other teams such as Florida and Texas depend on who stays and who doesn't. Kansas will be in the top 5 just because they have everybody coming back and more talent coming in, but we'll see what Self does with it. I really believe Noah is going to stay so all they're going to have to worry about imo is Horford.
  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) So who's the pre-season #1? I know it's too early, but predictions are so fun. Way to early, all depends on who stays and who leaves. UNC or Florida would be my guess though.
