  1. I do understand the worries about Eloy but I'm not quite there yet as I think last year is a bit tough to judge. That said, if he's still looking like ass by the all star break I'll jump aboard the worry train.
  2. And this is obviously true too. It's just insanely frustrating when your team is struggling big time that your manager isn't putting them in the best spots to succeed either.
  3. Unless I'm forgetting or misreading stuff now he did indeed start all 4. And once again, the results of last playoffs(no one is going to forget Leury's homer) is not what we're talking about at all here. It's how Tony views him and these random rest schedules. Anywho the game has started so I'll let it be.
  4. No. He started him over Cesar twice and Engel twice. Can argue starting him over Cesar but the point is he's always going to find a way to get Leury in there. He's not playing Leury because he thinks his starters need rest, he's playing him because he thinks he is a starter.
  5. Leury started all 4 playoff games last year. Tony absolutely cares about Leury's performance and will plan to play him a ton in the playoffs if we get there. He's throwing him out there because he thinks he's much better than he is, not the reason you're giving.
  6. Good way to get his trade value up is to constantly sit him on the bench.
  7. HAHAHAHAHHAHA. Ok, that's just funny.
  8. I'm no Hahn apologist as I have my issues with him for sure but at this point I really do wonder how much his hands are tied with some things.
  9. He started off the day doing his condescending act to fans because people are mad about the shit that transpired yesterday.
  10. Hahn would probably get fired but he needs to find a way to get rid of Leury. This shit isn't going to stop. Also, I've said it a bunch before but Stone is still an awesome broadcaster but he's the biggest asshat on Twitter. Anywho, go win despite your idiot manager boys!
  11. Summed up perfectly.
  12. Sorry buddy, we’re going to need you to hit.
  13. Does TLR think AV is Leury and Leury is AV? The way he handles those two guys is beyond mind boggling.
  14. The Astros were the better team for sure but the Sox were sooooo much better at home that things possibly could have possibly been different. Look, you saying that HFA doesn't matter and just bringing up the top seeds last year just isn't fair. The Giants were virtually the same team at home and away and the Rays were just a tad better at home. The Sox were 13 games better at home last year compared to the road, that type of stuff clearly mattered to that team. Will it matter this year? I obviously don't know but it certainly could.
  15. The Sox were much better at home last year(and I'm sure that'll be the case this year too) and with the top 2 teams having a bye this year that stuff matters a lot this season.
  16. 3 quick, clean innings in a row for Kopech. Nice to see him settle in after not having the best control through the first 2.
  17. FUCK YOU WARNING TRACK
  18. Time to start roiding, lots of warning track shots
  19. Honestly, I like Leury. I like him as a utility guy. He does get streaky where you can use him a decent amount in stretches as well. The hate comes from the fact he isn’t close to an every day starter and gets used like one. It’s not his fault how TLR uses him but it’s frustrating as fuck.
  20. First game of the year for this guy tonight. Can't wait to get back to the park! I was at Game 4 of the ALDS last year so if the season ends tonight that's on me.
  21. He doesn't get the hype because he's no where near the prospect that Vaughn is. I like Gavin but if he's a main piece in a trade for a good starting pitcher I'm all about it.
  22. “Aside from the small sample from several of these players…” There ya go, didn’t have to carry on after that.
  23. The team isn’t a disaster because of the great core in place but this off-season has absolutely been a disaster, it’s pretty easy to separate the two.
  24. Oh I completely agree that’s why I said if you look at the signing just by itself. If I knew he was going to be a part of only adding relievers and utility guys then ya it changes the story on all of this which is obviously happening right now.
  25. Pretty much. I don’t hate the Graveman signing when looking at it just on its own but wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s bad this season. We’ll see.
