Sale was also a big part of a Boston team that won a World Series. If Kopech stays around there’s no reason he won’t be one of the best pitchers in baseball for a while just as Chris was. Trade made sense for both teams at the time and might turn out to be a win for both teams.
Seemed fair but we clearly shouldn't give this organization the benefit of the doubt. I was always on the fence about bringing him back just cause I didn't know his health situation but if he was always healthy(and like you said the tired arm was always going to happen last year) then the QO was an absolute no brainer...but here we are.
Wouldn’t it be nice if getting into the playoffs and deciding seeds was based on series wins instead of games won? We’re still 6-6, series wins doesn’t mean anything.
Agreed on all points. Yaz will be fine and getting Yoan’s obp back in the lineup will certainly help but ya, it’s incredible that a weakness that everyone knew about(and like you said, Hahn called out himself) wasn’t addressed in the off-season.
Ball was already out of his glove when the contact happened. I guess I don't know how the rule works but Tim was already fuckin that play up before the interference.
Agreed. He didn't have good stuff today and didn't get destroyed which shows some progress for him. Obviously if he looks like this consistently it's a problem but for a day where he clearly didn't have it, it's nice he was able to keep us around at least.
I mean that's fine and I agree overall but that ball hit him in the glove, it's not like he was 20 feet away from it. Luis is kind of in no man's land there and with 0 outs he decided to tag up which isn't the wrong decision there. Leury was the one that forced everything and ran the team into an out.
