  1. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) I still don't think the Colts will go undefeated this whole season. If I'm wrong, I'll be eating something bigger than a crow, probably a vulture or something. I don't think they'll do it either but they're a great team and they keep proving me wrong, so we'll see....
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) '72 Dolphins should start to get nervous IMO....the Colts only have 1 REALLY tough road game left (at Cincy in 2 weeks) and if they win that one......look out for the dreaded undefeated season. (Although I think even if they got to, say 13-0, and clinched the home field, they would start resting people and might lose a game because of it, but you never know, it's fun to talk about). They got san diego week 16 I believe, that's going to be a very tough test.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) From a football standpoint, he is 2nd best receiver in the game behind Moss. His football skills on the field are great, no doubt. But when you factor in all the negative bulls*** off the field, it causes a problem. Perhaps a change of scenery would do him well. You never know for a fact unless your try. Look at AJ Pierzynski and Carl Everett. Oh, and by the way, Drew Rosenhaus is probably a bigger asswhole than TO. The change of scenery sure helped from getting out of SF, I mean playing on the eagles is where he wanted to be. TO is a cancer, period, no matter where he is.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) They already lost a game. I highly doubt it. This board seems to overate the spurs to no end and think this is the greatest team in the history of the nba. I still think three teams from the east can beat them in the finals. Pacers, pistons, and heat... in that order. I put them in that order because you need to beat the spurs at their own game. I view think the pacers and pistons defense will be very similar except i give the nod to the pacers on defense. I still don't know what to think about the heat, it is far too early to tell for me. After the spurs bounce back loss they might beat the s*** out of us. On the other hand we play up to our opponents pretty well... as well as playing down to an opponents level. I think you underrated the spurs to no end. They aren't going to come close to 70 wins but I just don't think anyone can beat them.
  5. QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Rowand for Linebrink? Check out last year's splits against lefties...a tad bit better than Marte I would say. Problem is he's a righty and wouldn't be used here against left handers.
  6. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) The thing is who are we giving up to get him? There is no way we can afford Matsui, Pauly, and given raisies to Garland, AJ, Crede, pods... I think Matsui is a pipe dream, I do agree with someone in here that said that kind of wait and see for 06, we are going to overpay for Matsui.. Unless he give us a discount as Pauly needs to. Hideki is a pipe dream, I was just saying I would definitely love to have him.
  7. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) As much as the board going to raz me.. I would love to have that as the 3-4 combo, As much as I love Thomas, he really is only a DH, Matsui can sub for an OF gicing someone a day off allows to take either another P or INF, just allows more flexiable for ozzie. I'd love that 3-4 also. Hideki is a great situational hitter and a rbi machine, he would look great hitting behind Scott and Tad.
  8. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) ok where does Pods play then? Only way I see this working is we have to trade Rowand as well to move Pods back to CF, Matsui to LF.. granted we get an upgrade in offense.. But a huge downgrade in def.. and I don't see Ozzie wanting that. Ya, there is a 0 percent chance pods plays cf this year. I'd love to get Matsui also and ya that would be saying goodbye to Thomas, it'd be a sad day but having Hideki and Paul is a legit 3-4 and upgrades the offense significantly.
  9. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) There is no doubt that Kenny will look to shop Pods this year. If there is a solid offer on the table he will pull the trigger because Pods is a little over-rated and with Anderson ready, he might be better than Pods. And then who leads off?? Kenny and Oz love pods he's not going anywhere this year and unless they think Owens can take over and play everyday I don't think Scott's going anywhere for a few years, meaning I think the sox will lock him up maybe even this year.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) I think he means 4th outfielder like Everett was this year. He'd mainly be the DH, but he'd replace someone in the outfield every couple of games. That's what I thought as well.
  11. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) And SnB: How can you forget "Get the Picture", "Nick Arcade", "Guts" and "Legends of the Hidden Temple"? The last two shows rocked, I don't even remember the first two.
  12. Mine was meh. Friday I felt like s*** so sat in and watched basketball the whole night. Yesterday hung out with some friends down here, watched the vtech-miami game, then watched the UFC rerun late at night, the main event was pretty damn good. As I do on all sundays sat on my ass and watched football. I did do some school work today so that's a surprise.
  13. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) One or two losses, doesn't matter to me. Who is the best team and who has the best case for making that claim. Just like seeding in the NCAA Basketball Tourney, wins and losses are not the only thing that should be taking into account when ranking teams. At least, not in my opinion. I agree, problem is I don't think you can bump another team out of the bcs for ND with 1 loss, I just don't think that's fair to that team. That's what my beef is I guess, is that I think ND is going to get a bcs bid and I don't think they deserve it. I just hate the bcs.
  14. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Besides Va Tech, who has Miami beaten? Besides Boise St. who has Georgia beaten? Besides Florida who has Alabama beaten? Who has Ohio State beaten? Besides GA Tech who has Va Tech beaten?? The same could be said for half the teams in the Top 10. The difference is all those teams with the exception of OSU have 1 or no losses, you make a good point though.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) Lol, I didn't catch UCLA, but they aren't even a top 20 team in my book and I don't think they'll finish the season in the Top 25 (although that may be a little harsh). They are garbage. They haven't played anyone thats that good (I think Cal and Oregon are both over-rated). Besides Michigan who has ND beaten that is good?
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) How bout dem fins!?!?! :finger
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) Extra fantasy points for some.
  18. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) And this is why I never pick the Chiefs to win. Everytime I actually do, like today, they lose. Or not.
  19. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) i dont want to give up anything serious for thome id give up marte and el-duqe. and thats about it, mayb a few prospects i just dont see how he had such an injured year last year and alot of people want him on the team? Cause he hit 42 homers and had 105 rbi's in 04. If the Phillies eat a good chunk of his contract I'd definitely take a chance on him.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) Podsednik is not longed for this team. IMO he'll be gone in 2 years. Unless the Sox think Owens can take over for Scott in 07 I think Pods will be here for a while.
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 02:09 AM) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9936832/
  22. QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) Just for fun, I layed U.S. Cellular's dimensions on top of Petco's dimensions with Giles 2B's, 3B's, and flyouts charted on top. I marked balls that would be a home run in the Cell with a yellow circle. I put 2 circles by the upper right-hand power alley because there are two flyouts superimposed on each other. It's kinda hard to see, but the Cell's wall is the dotted line. Looks like Giles would have had 16 more home runs (but about 10 less doubles and triples) if Petco had U.S. Cellular dimensions. Haha, wow man, props to you for doing that but yeesh to much time on your hands?.
  23. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 5, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) Marte + Rowand + Fields for Delgado and a small chunk of cash, but not much. Ahh, gotta love the armchair GM. Where do I sign up? HEY, we agree on something.
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 5, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Still he made $1M which is better than you. Got me there.
