  1. QUOTE(joeynach @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) Umm Geoff Blum hes a FA. I want him back ask the ultimate utility man. Other than that maybe Scott Hatteberg or Erubiel Durazo to fill in at DH, but i want paulie as my 1B. From Trades I would love one of these types,; Huff, Overbay, Hillenbrand, Tracy. They are all young with a hell of a lot of positive.
  2. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) no Just making sure.
  3. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) wtf? lawton? he wasnt in the playoffs and lmao @ this, cubbies just get owned again Yankees.
  4. I want Mike Myers real bad...does he count??
  5. Lawton has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 06 season.
  6. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) After Gio Gonzalez dominates at Birmingham the first half of next year, he'll be the surefire No. 1 pitching prospect in the Sox organization, if he's not already. I've got him No. 1 on my overall prospect list. You still counting Brandon as a prospect or no?
  7. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) Had to say that just for you... In all seriousness, wasn't there talk that Frank needed some cash after his last divorce? Certainly not his main motivation for playing, but some guys do hold on too long just to continue making money. If he can't stay healthy consistently, why shouldn't he retire? Some guys do actually love the game.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) Brian Anderson. Put him in the Carl Everett role from this year - spelling Frank every 2nd day, and spelling an outfielder every 3rd day. He'll pick up somehting like 400 at bats, plus or minus 100, improve our bench, improve our outfield defense, and improve our team speed. That's way to much jerking around of a young player. Anderson is either going to be starting in chicago in cf or some other major league team imo. The Frank situation is interesting and really hard for me to come to a strict conclusion. If he's brought back we need to have a backup plan to be ready to step in if and when Frank goes down again. I mean it was just in 04 that Frank was hitting the ball pretty damn well before going down. On the other hand, there's a good chance he's going to get injured again so it's really not a smart move to bring him back. I guess if I'm kenny I try to get a younger number 3 hitter that can dh, if not then bring back Frank only if there is a good backup in place. Tough decision here for Kenny.
  9. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) "who f***ing cares" ^
  10. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) we would be idiots to trade jenks for wagner. wagner is past his prime. jenks is just beginning. stick with the kid baby! If you find a way to trade for Billy Wagner this offseason I'll give you 10 bucks.
  11. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) this could lead to KW getting more press, which I believe he deserves. then again, espn will find some other reason, i'm sure, to blow someone in the red sox organization before (say, the clubhouse manager).
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) Becoming a mod didn't change him, he was always a tool ^
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) judging jsut from all the people i know that go to eastern........it's a last resort, the ultimate safety school. You know some people don't go to a specific college just so they can make fun of other peoples schools.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) Why is it that when we win a world championship on the backs of our pitching staff after 5 consecutive failures with a bunch of sluggers, are we talking about trading pitchers for sluggers? There is some flawed logic here folks. Completely, completely agree. You know what Yas, our opinions mean nothing but I can guarantee you Kenny feels the same way as us.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Do you even go to SIU anymore? Figure they'd kick you out after missing so many classes. I'm still here and getting good grades thank you very much.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) Hey, I gave you your props numerous times. Now only if you could concentrate this intelligence and put it to good use . . . What are you implying?? That I go to class?
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:51 PM) I'm still conviced you had some outside help. Ha, I wish I had sources. Just read that quote from Kenny, began to think about it and it just kind of clicked and made sense to me. I do something smart once every 9 years so let me be.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) I'm still in shock as to who figured out the rumor before it ever hit the media. By far the most intelligent thing I've ever done.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) San antonio is not unstoppable. Three teams in the east can beat them in a seven game series when at full strength. San Antonio is not going to lose this year. They are unstoppable imo.
  20. For anyone who's been watching tnt...I'm with Barkley 100 percent.
  21. In case anyone didnt know...San Antonio is good.
  22. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) Agreed very much so. That's not what bugged me about that part. LMAO Bill Hall's OPS > Carlos Lee's OPS Willie and I have talked about this a few times, how Carlos had one hell of an overrated season.
  23. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) \ Jermaine Dye was top 5 in VORP for left fielders in the AL. \ That's good considering he plays right field.
