  1. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Carl didn't do a good job with 1 out and a runner on 3rd. All we needed was a fly ball. He swings at ball 4 The pitch before that was ball 4 also. The pitch he struck out on was nasty, slider down and in just coming right at him.
  2. Carl k's, Gooch steals 2nd. My prediction streak is done at 1 Cmon pauly, right yourself here.
  3. Carl's gonna hit a sac fly to right field.
  4. QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Josh Bard HRs in Minny, 5-4 Cle in the top of the 9th!!
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) LOL--best was the PK homer call when he struck out hideously. I kind of, sort of, almost called Dye's first hit tonight.
  6. Scott will probably steal 3rd here. I know it'll happen because my predictions have been so good so far tonight.
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Kevin Walker's line at Charlotte: 11.2 IP, 9 H's, 7 BB's, 8 R (8 ER), 4 HR's. And we're b****ing about Neal? On a side note, why isn't your name all pretty and colorful like all the other mods?? Have you not earned that right yet?
  8. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Right. I'm quite sure his salary will put the Sox in a horrible financial position. Keith alluded to this before. We need a long reliever, just because we haven't needed on yet doesn't mean we won't need one. Eventually one of our starters is going to get knocked out early and we're going to need Neal to eat up some innings.
  9. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Hopefully this inning finishes quick and Hermy can pitch the 9th too. Shingo will pitch the 9th.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) Look up Marrero's numbers against lhp last year and this year......it's the right move. Don't care what his numbers are against lefties, Damaso isn't your typical left hander, he's been getting that back door slider over much more as of late and when he is he's just as tough on righties as lefties. Cmon, 1 more Hermey.
  11. Gawd, this is our 4th f***in reliever used this game. Shingo will probably come in next inning, meaning we've used everyone but Luis this game, you'd think ozzie would have learned from that Cleveland game. This is completely unneccesary to take Damaso out here, completely unnceccesary.
  12. Damaso just embarrased Angel that ab.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) I miss Hawk so bad. DJ is bad enough with Hawk, but without Hawk he's down right TERRIBLE. I think he's been doing pretty well.....
  14. QUOTE(JimH @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Politte does the job, paging quickman. Here is the thing about Cotts, he has 7 walks in 7 innings. In his defense, he hasn't pitched much. But he's supposed to do the job and the last thing you want is a guy to walk the only hitter he faces. 7 walks in 7 innings is too much. Whether they do anything about it, who knows. The issue is, who do they have that's better? I don't think Walker is setting the world on fire in AAA. Here's my thought on Neal, I really think when he pitches he should start his own inning. It seems it takes him a batter to really get his pitches down. If we need to get a lefty out during the later innings it should be Damaso or Luis not Neal. Neal is up here because every teams needs a long reliever and Neal's our guy. He's the 6th guy out of our pen and he's a pretty damn good one if you ask me.
  15. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) f*** Botch That nickname has already been used, try again.
  16. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 4, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) Could be better... The team's 19 and 7 and we're arguing about a long reliever who's era is under 4, it really doesn't get much better then that.
  17. Man, nice throw by aaron, just hit the bottom of the mound, damn it.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ May 4, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) Ozzie isn't even using Cotts as a long man. That's cause we haven't needed one yet.
  19. Man, Neal gets a tough rap around here. He hasn't been great, far from it but he's the last guy out of our pen, the long reliever, and his era is under 4, it can be worse then that.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ May 4, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Not even close. Poorly played by Ozzie there. Good call Rowand44 Ha, I wouldn't say that. I said I wanted Freddy to finish off the inning but I thought Neal would get it done, woops. I just hate it when ozzie over manages.
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 4, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Cotts in for garcia to face long. Bad idea. I wish he would have let Freddy finish the inning but Neal will get the job done.
